Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Servers who thrive in a high-paced environment and are passionate about hospitality. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional service during busy shifts.
Servers at The Local on 50th are responsible for delivering a memorable dining experience while maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable service to guests
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items, daily specials, wine, beer, and craft cocktails
• Upsell responsibly and professionally
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and organized manner
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout service
• Process payments accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned sections
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Comply with all alcohol service laws and internal policies
Qualifications
• Prior serving experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment is required
• Must possess a valid Riverside County Food Handler Card
• Must possess a valid Responsible Beverage Service certification (California Alcohol Server Certification) or be able to obtain one prior to starting employment
• Strong knowledge of proper alcohol service and legal compliance
• Ability to work varied hours throughout the week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods and carry trays up to 30 pounds
Work Environment
This position requires working in a fast-paced dining room and bar environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure and collaborate closely with hosts, bartenders, bussers, kitchen staff, and management is essential.
