    Responsibilities

    Prepare and review contract documents for public construction projects.

    Manage advertisement and bid process; audit bids for compliance.

    Coordinate pre-award contract administration and submissions to the Office of the State Comptroller.

    Oversee procurement, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met.



    Qualifications

    5+ years' construction experience on projects over $1M.

    Knowledge of RFI tracking, contract review, scheduling, and payment processing.

    Experience in construction procurement (public sector preferred).

    Proficient in MS Office;

    OSHA 10 required.

    Strong communication skills; attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    The Assistant Environmental Engineer is supporting our client NYS Office of General Services (OGS) and the DEC project team.

    This role provides Engineering services including; consultation, evaluation, planning, systems design, engineering surveys, or project oversight in order to ensure work conforms to accepted engineering standards.

    The Assistant Environmental Engineer may supervise and evaluate the work of technicians in projects within their engineering specialty.

    Examples include, but are not limited to: the construction, extension, alteration, remodeling, and maintenance of roads, buildings, public and private water and sewer systems, public health regulation and monitoring of water systems, and large structures including major roads, environmental remediation systems, dams, floodwalls and bridges.



    Qualifications

    Ability to manage multiple projects Ability to manage various projects using established controls and procedures Experience coordinating with multiple trades One year of full-time engineering experience in the environmental design and construction projects.

Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing using industry-standard software. Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, details and controls diagrams. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders. Conduct site visits, field inspections, and construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs etc. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Perform QA/QC reviews of projects to ensure high standards of quality are maintained. Ensure compliance with local codes, standards and client requirements. Interface with clients, attend project meetings, and present technical solutions. Participate in project sales proposals and interviews.     Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in HVAC design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and HVAC design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP). Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, energy efficiency standards, and sustainable design practices. Excellent leadership, mentoring and project management skills. Strong technical writing and communication skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    LEED Accreditation or other sustainable building certifications. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    Environmental Permit Senior Project Manager for NYS Office of General Services (OSG)

    Review allOSGDesign & Construction projectsfor for required permits, determine SEQR classification and procedural next steps. Propose strategies to project team which streamline and minimize regulatory project schedule impacts. Discuss project changes which could help avoid impacts and reduce regulatory coordination. Prepare, track, and coordinate environmental permit requirements including US Army Corp of Engineer and Department of Environmental Conservation permits and timelines in relation to project needs. Screen potential projects for environmental issues that will require regulatory coordination and processing of permits. Perform SEQR Short and Long Environmental Assessment, prepare or oversee preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EISs). Identify and oversee consultant preparation of required associated studies. Perform substantive quality review of consultant deliverables for environmental aspects of State projects, including Endangered Species, Ecology, Energy, Air/Noise, Visual, Historic Resources and Environmental Justice. Supervise junior staff providing guidance, oversight, and quality assurance on technical and regulatory deliverables. Participate in project meetings with department staff, consultants, and environmental regulatory and advisory agencies and assist with preparation of written communication/notices. Work closely with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Army Corps of Engineers, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, NYS Department of State, and NYS Office of General Services regarding permit applications with which they are also involved.

    Qualifications

    Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Environmental Science or Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture or related program. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in SEQRor Army Corp Permitting, a master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. Experience conducting the SEQR process,preparing SEQR documents, preparing applications for NYS and USACE environmental permits. Experience with and ability to successfully communicate with technical staff, executive team, client team and regulatory authorities. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently using established controls and procedures. Familiarity with wetland delineations and associated permitting preferred New York State environmental permit experience is essential!
