Job Summary
The Senior Survey Technician accurately coordinates and prepares survey data calculations and spreadsheets, including creating project mapping and input into CAD. In addition, they conduct research on projects for legal and utility standards as well as interact with the client (internal and external) to understand changes in mapping and scheduling. The Senior Survey Technician is able to fill in gaps on survey projects, based on business needs, either in the field or at the office.
Duties & Responsibilities
Calculation of Data: Calculate points data/detail of project and build information in spreadsheets. Create Asbuilt information presentation received from Crews. Ensure data is appropriately filed.Mapping/Research: Create mapping data from field and insert into CAD and make adjusts to project information as necessary; Resolve boundary resolutions. Prepare ALTA surveys using appropriate standards. Conduct research including legal, courthouse records, utility mapping and review materials such as aerial photos, FEMA maps, internal formal project data for accuracy.Field visits: Fill in on crews as needed and occasionally audit field crew work. Survey Schedules: Review project workload to develop crew schedules. Manage workload of crews and reorganize crew schedule/workload as needed based on business needs.Proposal Development: Information gathering, such as quantities, length of project completion, etc., and submit to Project Manager or Group Leader.Client Interaction: Field calls for proposals, scheduling, mapping, etc. Review projects with the internal leaders/teammates for status updates and other pertinent information regarding projects.Required Skills

About the Civil Project Engineer Role

What we are looking for:
• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program
• Desire to work in a collaborative environment with co-workers
• Thirst for knowledge and team-oriented

• Ability to communicate and present ideas
• Eagerness to develop AutoCAD skills and create model-based designs in Civil 3D

Perform traffic data collection using Miovision technologyPrepare traffic studies for various types of developments to evaluate the impact on the surrounding roadway infrastructurePerform roadway capacity analyses and simulations using the latest traffic analysis softwareDesign new/rebuilt traffic signals using CAD softwareSupport clients and other Kleingers team members by providing traffic input on various design projectsAdvance your knowledge through internal and external trainingQualifications
