    We specialize in creating high-quality, custom signage for businesses, events, and organizations. From design to fabrication and installation, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding visual solutions. We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Graphic Designer / Sign Fabrication Drafter.

    Graphic Designer Overview:

    We're seeking a talented graphic designer with experience in sign design and fabrication drawings. This hybrid role bridges creativity and technical execution - ideal for someone who can take a concept from initial mockup through to fabrication-ready files.

    Key Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer:

    • Create original sign designs, concepts, and layouts for a variety of signage types (interior, exterior, illuminated, dimensional, etc.)
    • Prepare accurate, scaled fabrication drawings using CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or CAD software
    • Collaborate with sales and production teams to interpret customer needs and ensure feasibility
    • Set up artwork for vinyl plotting, CNC routing, laser cutting, and large format printing
    • Maintain organized file structures and design archives
    • Occasionally assist in print prep or production when needed

    Required Qualifications for the Graphic Designer / Sign Fabrication Drafter:

    • 2+ years experience in graphic design, preferably in a sign shop or print/production environment
    • Strong proficiency in design software: CorelDRAW (preferred), Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
    • Familiarity with sign fabrication methods, materials, and installation considerations
    • Experience producing detailed shop/fabrication drawings
    • Ability to read and interpret site plans, elevations, and measurements
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent communication and time management skills

    Bonus Skills (not required but a plus):

    • Experience with CNC/RIP software (e.g., FlexiSIGN, EnRoute, VCarve, or similar)
    • Knowledge of ADA signage standards, electrical signage, or permitting requirements
    • Hands-on sign fabrication or installation experience

    Sales/Estimating Position:

    The Sales/Estimating role represents the company to our customers in the market for sunrooms and deck additions. This role performs initial consultations and works closely with the Project Engineer to design, specify, and estimate projects. This role is the face of the project in presenting it to the customer, and works closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to build out materials lists, perform preconstruction meetings, and navigate changes throughout the project.

    The Sales/Estimating will need a strong understanding of the products that make up sunrooms and decks from the foundation to the roof. In addition, they will need knowledge of color options, benefits of product types, application processes, and warranty options.

    The Sales/Estimating role will be seasoned in customer service and maintain a good follow-up system.

    Sales/Estimating Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prompt for the workday and appointments.
    • Dress and present yourself as a well groomed, polished professional.
    • Manage appointments well and adjust to schedule changes.
    • Communicate in a timely manner with customers.
    • Work closely with Project Engineer to ensure building code, historic district considerations, and engineering requirements are met.
    • Prepare for customer presentations with samples, literature and presentation folders.
    • Extensive knowledge of products and services.
    • Follow job flow steps in CRM accurately.
    • Attend sales meetings.
    • Attend product, service and quality assurance meetings and trainings.

    Sales/Estimating Skill Requirements:

    • Verbal and non-Verbal communication awareness and skill.
    • Excellent grammar and punctuation.
    • Skilled in computer operations such as Microsoft Word and CRM databases.
    • Comfortable roof walking, measuring, and taking pictures.
    • Tactful communication with customers and coworkers.
    • Visualizing the finished project with the customer.
    • Understanding of Valley Roofing finance options.
    • Reliable and independent worker.

    Paid training: $1200/weekly
