    As we embark on the next 50 years, we’re seeking a Project Architect/Technical Lead to guide teams through complex technical delivery and support the documentation quality that defines our legacy.

    How You Will Make an Impact:

    Support project pursuits by contributing to proposal materials, schedules, and BIM requirements, and represent HPI at industry workshops and continuing education events.Collaborate with Project Managers on consultant selection, project scheduling, staffing, and milestone planning, while leading initial BIM project setup and production workflows.Guide the technical development of projects—contributing to Basis of Design documents, ensuring constructability and code compliance, and leading the production of coordinated construction documents using BIM.Direct daily communication with internal teams and consultants, mentor junior staff, and uphold technical standards across disciplines.Ensure design intent, technical accuracy, and client expectations are met while leading QA/QC implementation and contributing to project manual development.Participate in client meetings and support construction budgeting, cost estimating, and value engineering.Work with DSA, local jurisdictions, and permitting agencies to obtain approvals.Support the Construction Administration team by serving as a technical resource during bidding and construction.Contribute to improving office standards and processes while providing mentorship and guidance to the technical team.

    To Be Successful in This Role, You Must:

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As the BIM Manager, you will oversee the successful and efficient use of available BIM tools within the firm. You will also be responsible for the management and successful, consistent implementation of the firm’s BIM best practices by all project team members in the production of 3D Building Information Models. The firm currently uses the latest version of Autodesk Revit, and all models are cloud hosted to Autodesk Construction Cloud / Forma.

    How You Will Make an Impact:

    Lead the firm in all BIM related aspects of the work.Maintain open communication firm-wide including with remote and multi office teams through intranet posts, newsletters, etc, including BIM standards updates and other BIM content.Augment office BIM documentation procedures, creating and documenting new workflows as required and communicating them firm wide. Develop and maintain BIM content including Revit Templates, Families, Detail Components, Detail Library in Pirros, shared parameters, and Dynamo scripts. Coordinate with internal project managers, project architects, project BIM coordinators / job captains and engineering consultants’ BIM managers.Maintain up-to-date BIM Execution Plan template and create project specific BEP’s including BIM protocol, LOD, etc. Conduct BIM Kickoff meeting for each project.Manage initial BIM project setup in coordination with project architect for each project.Manage ACC setup, models, publishing, workflow, users, and permissions.Work with construction administration team and attend BIM coordination meetings during construction as required.Work alongside builder BIM teams on Design-Build projects.Troubleshoot and assist with approaches to modeling and detailing of project work.Assist with development of complex project models and parametric families where required. Assist with project specific approach to complex modeling where required.Provide troubleshooting and technical support with Autodesk software Serve as a resource on BIM related topics and respond to support requests and post/document solutions on internal intranet where applicable.Manage model maintenance and health using Revit and ACC / Forma, including purging, auditing, error clearing in coordination with project architect and job captain for each project.Support the delivery of BIM projects in terms of BIM & CAD coordination and firm standards/best practices, review internal and consultant models and communicate reviews to project team.Organize periodic meetings with project architects and job captains to review expectations regarding BIM.Assist with clash detection and reporting efforts using Navisworks and ACC / Forma, including setup of clash detection models, generation and review of clash issues and reports.
