Estimator Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates for commercial construction projects. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements and scope. Gather and evaluate subcontractor bids and material costs to develop a comprehensive project estimate. Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the estimation process. Prepare detailed bid proposals, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations. Attend pre-construction meetings and site visits to assess project feasibility and address potential challenges. Maintain organized records of estimates, costs, and relevant documentation for future reference. Monitor project costs and budgets, providing updates and adjustments as necessary throughout the project lifecycle. Stay updated with market trends, construction methodologies, and material costs to inform bidding strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the commercial sector (5+ years). Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and relevant building codes. Proficient in construction software such as Destini, Bluebeam, Procore. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Certification from a recognized estimating organization (e.g., ASPE, AACE) is a plus. Supervise construction staff and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is performed according to design specifications and industry standards. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to establish project timelines and communicate progress updates. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the construction process, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a culture of safety on the job site. Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure materials and labor are utilized efficiently. Qualifications: Minimum 9 years of progressive field construction experience, typically as a trade’s worker, foreperson, Assistant Project Superintendent, or other related role, including at least 4 years of experience in a field supervisory role. High level of technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities equivalent to that derived from construction or engineering-related training. Proficiency in reading plans and specifications and must have overall knowledge of construction industry, i.e., mechanical, electrical, etc. Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand project finances. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, skills. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Must hold a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record must meet standards of insurability. Demonstrated ability to use various software applications including PM software (Procore preferred), Microsoft Suite, including ability to understand cost spreadsheets, aging report, labor productivity report.     We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in large-scale healthcare projects. A Certified Healthcare Constructor Credential (CHC) or comparable certification is preferred. Candidates who are not already certified must be willing to obtain certification within the first six months of employment.


    Location: This position will be at a Hagerman construction site. This is not a remote position.
