    Key Responsibilities:

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical / IT Inspector to support construction quality assurance and inspection activities across multiple projects within LAWA's Capital Improvement Program. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex aviation infrastructure projects involving electrical systems, low-voltage systems, communications infrastructure, security systems, and life safety systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform daily inspections of electrical and IT installations on airport construction projects. Verify contractor compliance with applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and LAWA standards. Review construction documents, shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Prepare detailed daily inspection reports documenting construction progress, deficiencies, and safety concerns. Inspect electrical systems including switchgear, electrical panels, conduit systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, and fire life safety systems. Inspect low-voltage and IT infrastructure including voice/data systems, access control, security cameras, communication cabling, and equipment rooms. Support special inspections, testing activities, and contractor progress evaluations. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, project managers, and third-party agencies throughout project delivery

    Requirements

    Minimum 3 years of experience performing electrical and/or IT inspections for building construction projects.Current ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification. NFPA 70E training completed within the last 3 years. Cal-OSHA 30-Hour training completed within the last 4 years. Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 72 standards. Fall protection and harness training. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work day, swing, night, weekend, and overtime shifts as required by project schedules.

    Preferred Qualifications Journey-level electrician experience. Experience on airport, public works, institutional, commercial, or industrial construction projects. Strong understanding of electrical codes and construction inspection practices. Experience working with contractors, engineers, and public agencies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, PM Web, and electronic document control systems.
