    Love the city of Boston? Want to share your enthusiasm and knowledge with new and returning visitors?


    We are seeking enthusiastic, engaging individuals to work as Customer Service Reps in the Visitor Information Center at Boston Common.


    If you are a high school graduate, a retiree, a college student home for the summer or just looking for a great part-time job, join our growing team!


    Become a member of our dedicated team tasked with engaging visitors & helping them explore our amazing city! These are SEASONAL, part-time, (15 - 25 hour per week) positions with a schedule requiring some holiday/weekend hours.


    Responsibilities include:

    Welcoming visitors to the city with friendly attitude & exceptional customer service.Maintaining an organized work environment.Remaining informed of local events, Meet Boston membership and programs.Offering visitors creative ideas of how to spend their time in the city.Stocking the center with current literature and merchandiseSelling local attraction and tour ticketsOffering visitors and guests assistance & selling merchandise.Other such duties that may be assigned.

    Position Details:

    Part-time, Seasonal 15 - 25 hours per week; some weekend work required. (Spring/Summer Visitor Center hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm 7 days a week.)Remote work options are not available for this position. Requirements: Excellent customer service & communication skills.Familiarity with Boston/Cambridge area helpful, though training is provided.Prior retail/point of sale experience preferred, but not requiredPrior concierge and/or tourism center experience preferred, but not required.Ability to work some weekends and holidays.Ability to commute and arrive on-time.Must be able to wear a uniform (we provide Meet Boston shirt) & consent to background check.

    Physical Demands of this role include:

    Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.Frequently moving stock or merchandise in boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.

    Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) is seeking a Seasonal Driver / Customer Service Rep to work on the new Greater Boston Mobile Visitors Center. The Driver / CSR is a crucial member of a dynamic team working to achieve our mission of promoting the amazing Greater Boston area and enhancing visitor experience. You'll drive to set locations and speak with customers, locals and visitors about the many exciting attractions, events and experiences offered in the area.


    Responsibilities:

    Drive safely through city streets in a company-owned Mobile Visitor Center box-truck. Interact with the public to promote Greater Boston, our members, events and experiences. Effectively communicate with individuals seeking information and guidance. Provide excellent customer service. Re-stock retail items. Willingness to learn & operate a point of sales system as needed.


    Requirements: Active standard U.S. driver's license (non-CDL) and clean driving record Must be at least 21 years of age Prior driving experience, such as shuttle bus, MBTA, delivery vehicle, box truck preferred; willingness to learn is acceptable. Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to interact with the public / strong customer service skills required. Ability to lift at least 30 pounds

    Job Type:

    Seasonal, part-time, weekend days are required. Variable hours 15 - 25 per week
