The Group Teacher is responsible for day-to-day operation of the classroom including its physical environment, curriculum planning and implementation, supervision and evaluation of each child, record keeping, and supervision of other staff including volunteers

ASSISTANT TEACHERS (Full-time)
Under the supervision of the Group Teacher, the Assistant Teacher supports the delivery of instructional services in the classroom.
Qualifications:
•Associate Degree OR Sixty (60) college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field

High School Diploma AND Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate

High School Diploma AND Assistant Teacher Certification
TEACHER AIDES (Part-time)
Under the supervision of a Group Teacher or Infant Care Group Leader, an Aide assists in the classroom by performing such tasks as may be assigned, including individualized support for children with special needs and maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma
Preferred: Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate within two years of hire

Position Summary

Friends of Crown Heights 4410 Program Health Services – Per-Diem Clinical Support
Position Summary
The Per-Diem CNA or Nurse provides health-related support and consultation for Friends of Crown Heights’ 4410 program. This role ensures compliance with DOE, NYSED 4410, and NYC DOHMH Article 47 health and safety requirements. The clinician provides as-needed medical support, documentation, and communication with families and providers.
Key Responsibilities
Provide as-needed medical support, including medication administration per physician orders.Conduct health screenings and monitor students with chronic conditions.Maintain health logs, incident reports, and DOE-required documentation.Respond to injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents.Consult with families and medical providers as needed.Ensure compliance with Article 47 health and safety standards.Qualifications
NYS CNA certification or RN/LPN license required.Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.Strong communication and documentation skills.
Certified Teacher Assistant – 12:1:2 Classroom
Friends of Crown Heights 4410 Program DC 37 – Daycare Workers’ Local
Position Summary
The Certified Teacher Assistant provides instructional and behavioral support in the 12:1:2 classrooms at Friends of Crown Heights. The role supports the Special Education Teacher in delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction while ensuring full compliance with DOE, NYSED 4410, and NYC DOHMH Article 47 regulations. This position is a DC 37 Daycare Workers’ Local union role and follows all contractual expectations, protections, and work standards.
Key Responsibilities
Support IEP-aligned instruction and assist with data collection.Provide 1:1 and small-group instructional support within the 12:1:2 classroom structure.Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and implementation of behavior plans.Maintain a safe, organized, Article-47-compliant classroom environment.Communicate daily observations to the Special Education Teacher.Participate in DOE-required trainings and professional development.Uphold all responsibilities and standards outlined in the DC 37 Daycare Workers’ Local contract.Qualifications

Per-Diem Administrative Leadership
Position Summary
The Per-Diem Principal provides on-call administrative leadership, instructional oversight, and regulatory compliance support for the Friends of Crown Heights 4410 Preschool Special Education Program. This role ensures that program operations, instruction, staffing, and safety practices remain aligned with NYSED 4410, NYC DOE, and NYC DOHMH Article 47 requirements. The Per-Diem Principal serves as the acting site leader during staff absences, high-need periods, or scheduled coverage days.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site administrative leadership during assigned per-diem days.Ensure instructional practices align with IEP mandates, 4410 regulations, and DOE expectations.Support classroom observations, coaching, and feedback for teachers and assistants.Oversee daily program operations, including attendance, staffing ratios, and classroom coverage.Ensure compliance with Article 47 health and safety standards.Respond to incidents, complete required DOE/DOHMH documentation, and communicate with families as needed.Support crisis management, behavioral interventions, and emergency procedures.Collaborate with Special Education Teachers, Related Service Providers, and program administration.Maintain accurate records, logs, and compliance documentation.Represent the program professionally during DOE, CPSE, or regulatory visits when scheduled.Qualifications
