After-school Enrichment Coordinators (AmeriCorps members) are responsible for leading DREAMs after-school enrichment activities, which are modeled on creating safe, engaging, and community-rooted learning environments. You will work as a team and be responsible for planning and providing fun, consistent, and enriching after-school programming for DREAM youth. Programs take place within the neighborhoods we serve and may include off-site activities in the local community.

Objectives of Service as an After School Enrichment Coordinator:
Plan and run fun, memorable, and enriching after-school activities for youth living in low-income housing.Get to know each youth participant and incorporate their interests and ideas into daily activities.Provide academic support, mentorship, and opportunities for growth through play, creativity, and skill-building.Develop a sense of teamwork with fellow AmeriCorps members through collaboration and shared responsibilities.Communicate with enrolled youths caregivers regularly to strengthen community connections.Strive to provide a physically, emotionally, and mentally safe and inclusive environment for youth and staff.The Experience of Serving as an After School Enrichment Coordinator:
Lead a group of youth in after-school programming that combines academic support, enrichment activities, and community-building.Activities may include homework help, arts and crafts, sports, literacy-focused sessions, STEM activities, and cultural exploration.Programming will be guided by DREAMs enrichment curriculum, with focus areas such as Healthy Minds/Healthy Bodies, Problem Solvers, Artists and Creators, and Motivated Readers.Youll be encouraged to incorporate your own passions and skills into the activities you offer.Typical schedule includes weekday afternoons/evenings (1525 hours per week, depending on site needs).You will likely engage with and support program evaluations throughout the school year.You will be expected to communicate regularly with your fellow AmeriCorps members, your supervisor, community members, and partners.You may also support partnerships with local organizations to provide meals, resources, and additional opportunities for youth.This role supports development of tangible skills in youth engagement, positive behavior management, adaptability, problem solving, and community work.This role involves high levels of teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal communicationRequired qualifications:

Build and sustain high quality, community-based relationshipsBuild a relationship with every volunteer mentor, as well as every youth and their caregivers.You will attend to youth, families, and partners' variety of needs as it relates to DREAMAssure each volunteer mentor and AmeriCorps member is prepared, trained, and supported and provides an intentional, enriching experience to the youth and families served.Lead Programs to ExcellenceProvide each youth with an excellent year-round DREAM experience by establishing and supporting each program offered at our program sites. Within the year round experience and each program offered, DREAM youth and families should experience: 1) agency over their DREAM experience, 2) high quality, dedicated relationships with mentors on a weekly basis through a combination of Village Mentoring and Summer Enrichment activities, 3)high levels of attendance and success in school, 4) a broader sense of self and the world, 5) a whole lot of fun!You will operate the organization's programs and activities with fidelity to its models, with the intention of continuing to strive toward excellence and expand our offering to as many eligible youth as possible.Support of program transitions seasonally between school year and summertime. This is a full time, salaried, overtime exempt position. The position will average 35-45 hours per week with regular evenings and occasional weekend events over the course of the year. Participation and leadership at regular multi-day retreats is required (typically one each quarter).

Summary
The Cook at Camp DREAM will be responsible for executing the meals component of our overnight summer camp. You will serve as a team and be responsible for providing 3 meals and two snacks daily for 60 people. Camps Cook contribute to our goal of ensuring a safe, fun, enriching overnight camp experience at our Camp DREAM property to the youth we serve who come from Vermont, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Job Responsibilities
Attend scheduled meetings and training events, including pre-camp training sessions, which will start on your first day.Create the meal plan for each session based on allergies and dietary restrictions for:3 daily mealsTwo daily snacksSpecial events (themed nights, popcorn for movie nights, special snacks for all camp games, etc.)Ensure food is ordered on time and within budgetKitchen staff are responsible for placing the food order twice a week, as well as extra trips to the grocery store or Costco that are needed.Implement the daily preparation, serving, and cleaning up of meals and snacks using food safety protocols and guidelines of general nutrition for children between the ages of 8-18.Clean and tidy the kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, and freezer. This includes wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing; taking out the trash, recycling, and compost.Share a living/sleeping space with 1-2 other staff membersRegularly communicate with staff and the leadership team about the status of kitchen responsibilities (timing of meals, food order status, etc), potential hazards, concerns, or incidents that may need follow-up based on individual circumstances.Get to know campers and develop positive, healthy relationships. Maintain appropriate boundaries with campers and follow camp policies regarding disclosure, confidentiality, and social media involvement.Interact with and observe campers. Immediately report all injuries and illnesses, regardless of severity, to leadership staff after the nurse has taken control of the situation.Know the scheduled work and rest times. Report to work on time as scheduled.Abstain from the use of personal electronic devices, such as tablets or cell phones, in sight of campers. These devices may be used during time off.Perform additional functions or assume additional responsibilities throughout the facility as needed or as requested by the camp leadership.***Please note that this is not an exhaustive list. Description of Camp:
Camp DREAM is a joyfully rambunctious camp! We are a rustic forest environment with minimal electricity and wifi, and no phone reception. You should be able to supervise campers at all times while on duty at camp, which is broadly described in the following:
A communal living situation that means actively socializing and being surrounded by other campers and staff from sun up to sun down;Lots of active outdoor activities, such as sports, swimming, boating, archery, low ropes course, and more. Every camper attends these activities, and there is a focus on collaboration and teamwork;3 daily meals in the lodge or outdoor pavilion with up to 60 people who create a busy, bustling, and often loud environment, with excited talking, cheering, large-group singing, and games;A screen-free environment (during work hours) in which we disconnect from cell phones, video games, and the internet. Campers do not use devices during any part of the program day nor are campers permitted to wear headphones outside of the cabin.It is important to remember that by the nature of overnight camp:
You will likely have a lot less alone time than you might find at home.You or your campers' schedules may change with little notice due to weather or other circumstances, and flexibility is keyYou should feel ok being away from home and having an independent group-living experience with 50-60 other kids and staff.Sleeping accommodations include:

Dates of service: March 25, 2026 - August 12, 2026Start date is flexible, latest possible start is June 1Hours and Compensation60-75 hours per week, 450 total service hours.$750 biweekly, $4,500 total (6 pay periods)These are PRE-TAX amounts.Upon completion of dates and total hours, you will receive an education award $1,956.35 (pre-tax). Work environment: This position primarily operates in an outdoor environment with active children and other service members, for extended periods of time, and in all types of weather and environmental factors (heat, cold, wet, etc.). The Kitchen Crew operates primarily in Camp DREAMs industrial-sized kitchen with typical kitchen appliances and food preparation gear.
