Position: Dog Daycare & Boarding AssistantLocation: The Dog Chateau, Glenville, NYJob Type: Part-time or Full-timeExpected Hours: 1540 hours per weekHourly Pay: $18$20 per hourKey Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety, structure, and positive social dynamics of all dogs in a supervised pack environmentLead structured off-leash pack walks and outdoor adventures across our 11 fenced-in acresFacilitate enrichment-based activities that support mental stimulation, confidence, and healthy behaviorMonitor and assess canine body language, behavior, and group interactions, proactively preventing and addressing issuesProvide individualized care and attention, adapting to each dogs temperament, energy level, and needsMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment across all indoor and outdoor spaces to the highest standardsSupport feeding routines, medication administration, and daily wellness checks with attention to detailDeliver an exceptional client experienceAssist in creating a calm, structured, and enriching daily flow, balancing play, rest, and activityCollaborate with team members to uphold The Dog Chateaus standards of excellence, safety, and careQualifications:
Genuine passion for dogs and a strong commitment to their safety, well-being, and enrichmentHands-on experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, training, shelter, or similar environmentStrong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and pack dynamicsAbility to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levelsExperience with or interest in basic obedience training and behavior reinforcementAbility to remain calm, observant, and proactive in a fast-paced, group-play environmentStrong work ethic with a high level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detailPhysically capable of standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods, including multiple structured pack walks dailyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safelyExcellent teamwork and communication skills, with a professional, client-focused mindsetWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysPet First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtaincompany-sponsored training provided)Benefits:
