    POSITION DETAILS

    Division/Departmen: Event Centers


    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Equipment Operator for the Ike Hamilton Expo Center is responsible for the setups, teardowns, and resets of the main arena in preparation for the centers next event and reports to the Event Facilities Manager at their designated facility. They are responsible for cleaning stalls, routine maintenance labor, trash removal, shavings inventory, and other duties as assigned by the Manager.

    SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sets up, tears down, and resets the main arena (i.e. arena dirt, general landscaping, building and barn area maintenance) during non-event days which includes:

    o Supervises loading/unloading (i.e. cow panels, shaving bags, and sand)

    o Supervises building/teardowns (i.e. arena setups, dirt work with tractor, etc.)

    o Monitors/coordinates event timelines and ensures the event venue is ready on-time

    Cleans stalls, performs routine maintenance labor, removes removal, completes shavings inventory, and other duties as assigned by the Manager

    Completes required minor paperwork and reporting, as needed.

    Communicates with the client/customer to ensure their needs are effectively met

    WORKER REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

    Experience safely operating a forklift, front end loader, and other large equipment

    Experience operating hand tools and small engine machinery

    Experience performing light maintenance (i.e. mechanical, electrical, and plumbing)

    Knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies

    Capable of performing physical labor, some of which can be demanding

    Able to constantly stand, walk, bend, and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)

    Able to lift, push/pull a weight of up to 50lbs+

    Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)

    Perform job around various elements (i.e. animals, dust, and allergens)

    Position requires flexibility, schedule varies based on booked events.

    Applicant should expect to work nights and weekends on a regular basis and will be required to work some Holidays.

    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Beacon Manager will consistently maintain the Beacon Advanced Metering Analytics System, communicate effectively with the City of West Monroes Utility and Public Works departments to achieve and maintain a healthy monitoring system.


    SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES


    Monitor the Beacon Dashboard including communication and device health for utility equipment

    Add, change and update water meters and meter interface units in Central Square/H5

    Download and transfer utility files from H5 to the Beacon Software

    Work Closely with the Inventory Specialist for the City of West Monroe Public Works department

    Oversee Meter Techs by taking field rides as necessary to understand the meter connections

    Follow-up with Meter Techs and customer care representatives for work orders that are processed at the City of West Monroes utility counter

    Oversee the utility customer care representatives

    Research utility billing/utility meter issues

    Provide exceptional customer service with accurate information with call backs for customers questions and concerns


    WORKER REQUIREMENTS (education, certifications, experience, etc.)

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    Supervisory experience preferred

    Excellent computer and customer service skills required

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, make independent decisions, and strategically budget and plan

    Able to constantly stand, walk, bend, and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)

    Able to lift, push/pull a weight of up to 30lbs+

    Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)


    HOURS/SCHEDULING

    Work hours are typically 8am 5pm, Monday Friday.
