    For over 30 years, The Burks Companies (TBC) has been a leader in Integrated Facilities Management (IFM), specializing in maintenance, controlled environment support, cleaning services, and other facility support services.

    The Burks Companies, Inc. (TBC) is hiring full-time Room Attendants / Housekeeping Staff to join our hospitality team at our Harrah's Casino & Resort in Cherokee, North Carolina location. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and creating exceptional guest experiences in luxury and high-profile facilities.

    Position Summary

    Guest Room Attendants ensure rooms are clean, organized, and well-maintained according to luxury brand standards. This role plays a key part in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment while delivering outstanding guest service. Overtime available.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform detailed cleaning tasks in guest rooms (approximately 15 rooms per shift), including making beds, changing linens, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, and maintaining overall cleanliness.

    • Ensure rooms are fully cleaned, stocked, and presented to required standards.

    • Identify and promptly report any room discrepancies or maintenance issues to the supervisor to ensure a smooth guest experience.

    • Respond to guest requests professionally and courteously.

    • Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures.

    • Maintain a friendly and positive attitude throughout the shift.

    • Serve as a role model for other TBC employees.

    Requirements

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and provide proof of eligibility.

    • Age: 21 or older.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing for extended periods).

    • Must be able to work with various cleaning tools and chemicals while following all safety and hygiene standards.

    • Strong customer service skills.

    • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred.

    • All positions are subject to background and employment verification.

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Six months of housekeeping experience is a plus.

    Schedule

    • Full-time position > 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; schedule may vary.

    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

    • Minimum one-year commitment required*.

    *If employment ends before one year, the employee may be responsible for reimbursing applicable relocation or travel expenses (e.g., airfare, bus fare, transportation, housing).

    Guest Room Attendant Overview

    Under the direction of the Site Project Manager and guidance of corporate HR, the Site Administrative Managers (SAM) is responsible for performing and or coordinating the daily administrative tasks for the job site. The SAM oversees daily administrative operations, ensuring efficiency by managing supplies, schedules, supporting staff, coordinating events, and maintaining policies and procedures, acting as the central point for smooth office function.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supports the Site/Project manager with interoffice correspondence, work order system management and employee relations. Facilitate communication between day shift operations and night shift operations to make sure information flows in an accurate and timely manner.     WHAT DOES THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TBC SPECIALTY TECHNICIAN LOOK LIKE?

    As a floor and carpet technician, custodian, our Specialty Techs enjoy floor care. Whether it is marble polishing, detail scrubbing tile, restoring grout floors in restrooms, stripping, waxing, or burnishing floors, to shampooing and or extracting carpet.

    You are responsible for performing heavy duty floor maintenance work, refinishing tile floors, pressure washing, high-dusting and other specialty projects assigned. TBC' Specialty teams are the core of obtaining the overall goal of customer satisfaction.

    Specialty Techs report maintenance repair problems and make sure all floor equipment is clean and properly maintained after each use. Specialty Techs often operate expensive and powerful equipment that if not properly operated, can result in permanent physical and property damage.     QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FULL-TIME HEAVY DUTY SPECIAL PROJECTS TEAM

    21 years old or olderAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and perform general floor cleaning and other specialty team projects. Physically demanding. Tasks include bending, kneeling, reaching, and being on your feet for an entire shift. At least 3-5 years' experience as a floor tech with knowledge of operating large machines throughout large commercial complexes.Extensive knowledge of floor care a must.Specialty Techs will perform all duties of EVS cleaners and general cleaners on a larger scale.Performs all other related duties as assigned.
