    The Fabrication Supervisor will lead  fabrication operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the fabrication team, ensuring that all projects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and production deadlines. Your expertise in sheet metal work, will drive efficiency and excellence across fabrication processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a skilled team in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision craftsmanship and innovative manufacturing solutions.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    · Ensure that all fabrication employees are wearing their PPE and performing their jobs in a safe manner to ensure an accident-free work area.

    · Schedules the machines within the department to assure that production schedules are being met in a timely manner.

    · Responsible for accurate counts and inventory of all items produced.

    · Works with Fabrication Leads on what machines need to be set up from open order items per schedule and parts availability.

    · Assign associates to run production making sure they know the correct procedures to complete the task, along with all safety and quality procedures.

    · Make sure all employees are properly logging into the SAP system and submitting accurate information on all produced parts and times.

    · Make sure that all quality procedures in the department are being followed correctly and that all parts are 100% correct. This includes making sure the first piece off the machine is correct and gets the quality supervisor to check the part and sign off on it also. Parts to also be checked periodically by the operator and recorded on the quality sheet. The initial piece signed off as being 100% correct by the operator, fabrication supervisor and quality supervisor is to remain at that station as a reference until completion of the job.

    · Works with laser machine operator to assure that the machine is being planned with the proper programs based on the production schedule.

    · Such other duties as are assigned from time to time.

    · 100% quality comes from fabrication area.

    · Improve efficiency in production by using lean practices.

    · Maintain good housekeeping, product organized and stored for ease of handling.

    · Maintain compliance of all required documentation and production reporting.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    · Must know how to run a variety of fabrication machines, such as a press brake, shear, cold saw, tube bender, and drill press.

    · Basic reading, writing, math, and excellent communication skills.

    · Basic knowledge of computers, willing to train.

    · Must be able to read a tape measure.

    · Must be able to translate drawings.

    License or Certificate required:

    · Forklift Certification

    Physical Aspects of the position:

    A typical workday might include: Prolonged periods of walking and standing on the production floor in a manufacturing environment, ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities, pushing/pulling product, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds - unassisted, grasping, grabbing, using hands, hand/eye coordination with attention to detail.
