SUMMARY
Analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools to manufacture parts, fit and assemble parts to fabricate and/or repair various types of dies.
HOURS
6:00 am - 2:30 pm M-F
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Study prints, sketches, models, job orders and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. Computes dimensions, plans layout and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, bridgeports, etc. to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.Assemble parts into product and verify dimensions, alignments and clearances.Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

We are seeking a skilled Machinist (CNC & Manual) to join our Springfield manufacturing team. In this role, you'll set up and operate machine tools to manufacture precision components while working closely with a small, experienced team that values craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision metal components.Interpret blueprints, job orders, setup sheets, and other manufacturing documentation.Determine machining requirements, tooling, machine settings, feeds, speeds, and sequence of operations.Plan and layout dimensions according to engineering drawings.Machine parts to required tolerances and specifications.Verify quality using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment, tooling, and work areas clean and organized.Safely move materials using forklifts, hoists, cranes, and other lifting equipment.Ensure all products meet Bradbury's quality standards and customers’ expectations.Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.

Lay out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural frames such as machinery bases. All welding is GMAW (MIG). Assist machinists rigging and hoisting large components and machine bases.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly fit up and welding in the most efficient manner. Plan work, layout, tack, and weld components per print and welding specifications Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Sets up equipment and weld components using Gas Metal Arc Welding.Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Work with team members and supervision to solve problems with fit up and handling of parts. Assist machinists rigging and hoisting large components and machine bases. Operate grinders, weld positioner, forklifts, overhead hoists, shear, press brake, and other shop equipment as needed. Weld with a variety of gases, welding machines, and wire sizes from .035 thru 1/16’ diameter welding wire. Cross train and move to other work centers as assigned. Inspect completed work to ensure it is built per print. Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate routings and bills of materials using Syteline ERP software, assembling work order packets, and supporting efficient production scheduling.
