    The Pacific Northwest branch, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is looking for a driven litigation Legal Assistant to be a part of our team. You would become a vital part of a close-knit group of attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, and staff who all share a profound dedication to supporting our clients throughout their recovery journeys.

    Our Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for a legal assistant who desires to be an integral part of a talented litigation team that focuses on the clients themselves, as well as their cases. A perfect fit would be someone who is a skilled problem-solver, has a history of working hard, doing the right thing even if it means the more difficult path, and appreciates the connection between details and client success. Moreover, the perfect candidate must also be emotionally and intellectually sharp. This position requires significant mental focus and acuity, along with the ability to both quickly learn and retain information.

    Responsibilities

    Provide administrative support to a team of litigation paralegals and complete tasks delegated by either the lead paralegal or trial attorney accurately and in a timely fashion. Ability to request and review medical records and bills when necessary Draft various pleadings, including but not limited to complaints and motions, and file them with western Washington courts Perform administrative duties such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and contacting witnesses/experts/physicians Managing caseloads and calendars for multiple attorneys, ensuring that all local/county specific deadlines are calendared and followed. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and arbitration evidence binders Coordinate with and interview clients for discovery requests such as interrogatories, requests for admission, etc. Coordinate with and interview witnesses (factual and damages witnesses) Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources (court rules, Westlaw, etc.) Ability to communicate when necessary with clients for case updates, case management, coordinating depositions, etc.

    Experience and Professional Background

    1-3 years civil litigation experience as a paralegal (preferred) 1+ years of personal injury experience (required) History of proven attention to detail and ability to maintain standards Experience being meticulous in record keeping The ability to think deductively, extrapolate information, and shift cognitively between the general and the concrete.

    Compensation

    Responsibilities

    Conduct Trials: Represent clients in high-value personal injury trials, leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of the law, strong courtroom presence, and persuasive advocacy skills to achieve successful verdicts. Litigation Mastery: Handle all aspects of litigation, from case analysis and strategy development to discovery, motions, and settlement negotiations, demonstrating your commitment to thoroughness and meticulous preparation. Client-Centric Approach: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests are protected throughout the litigation process. Collaborative Environment: Collaborate with our talented legal team, including paralegals and support staff, to develop comprehensive trial strategies and ensure seamless execution.

    Qualifications

    2-4 years civil law experience (personal injury preferred) At least 1 year of trial/litigation experience Admission to the WA bar

    Work Location

    Our office is right off Pike Place Market on the Seattle waterfront. This position is hybrid, with three days a week in office and two days a week remote following a 12-week fully in person training period.

    Compensation

    Base salary between $150,000 - $250,000 in addition to a bonus structure.
