Position Summary: We are currently seeking an Junior/Intermediate Electrical Engineer for our Tampa, Florida office. This is a vacant position for which we are actively recruiting. Required Qualifications: * Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. * 1-6 years of relevant experience in design and drafting for transmission and distribution projects. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience in MicroStation is an asset. * Familiarity with substations up to 500kV. * Strong understanding of engineering principles and electrical design standards. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with excellent communication skills. * Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth. * Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%. TORs will provide technical oversight and sustainment support for more than 120 radar systems across the United States (including ARSR‑4, CARSR, and FPS radars). This position requires extensive travel within the U.S. and supports FAA‑regulated facilities and operations. NOTE: Candidates must possess a current DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. Position is Remote with extensive travel within the U.S. Job Description The Technical Officer Representative (TOR) will supervise and provide technical oversight for construction, renovation, installation, sustainment, and integration activities supporting mission‑critical FAA facilities and NAS systems. The TOR will manage project timelines and resources, ensure contractor work meets plans/specifications and FAA requirements, support acceptance/closeout activities, maintain project documentation, and coordinate with FAA staff, prime contractors, and vendors to sustain radar and other NAS infrastructure. This role requires demonstrable FAA experience, strong construction/project oversight skills, the ability to operate for extended periods at remote field locations, and possession of a current DoD Secret clearance. Job Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Job Functions may include (but are not limited to) the following: * Supervise construction and renovation of FAA projects; perform quality assurance to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and FAA requirements. * Maintain accurate daily records and reports related to project activities, inspections, and contractor performance. * Serve as point of contact and coordinate directly with general contractors to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and FAA direction. * Monitor progress against accepted construction schedules; identify and discuss deviations in schedule, materials, or procedures with the Project Engineer and engineering staff. * Participate in construction inspections, final inspections, Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI), and contract close-out activities. * Conduct and document progress meetings with contractors, FAA stakeholders, and appropriate personnel. * Prepare construction drawings, site‑specific specifications, contract documents, and independent cost estimates as needed to support change proposals. * Generate and coordinate Integrated Risk Management Checklists (IRMC), communication plans, and project risk registers to meet Operational Risk Management (ORM) requirements. * Track, reconcile, and coordinate closure of JAI project exceptions and non‑conformances. * Submit and maintain Configuration Management (CM) web documents and related technical documentation. * Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of electronic and networked systems at operational sites as required to support sustainment. * Provide technical direction to contractors and coordinate with FAA engineers, program managers, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of mission‑critical services. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support FAA program goals and NAS sustainment activities. * Ensure all assigned personnel and activities comply with security requirements associated with DoD Secret and FAA suitability processes while deployed. Location: Front Range, CO (Field-Based; Great Plains & Southwest Travel) Essential Job Functions: * Conduct biological field surveys and monitoring, following standardized protocols * Collect and record accurate field data using paper forms and tablets * Assist with identification of plant and wildlife species, including special-status species * Utilize GPS units and mapping tools to support field data collection * Operate 4x4 vehicles on unpaved and remote roads * Work effectively both independently and as part of a team while maintaining communication with project staff * Adhere to all health and safety protocols in remote and field-based environments * Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. * Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. * Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns. * Additional duties as required. Required Qualifications: * Ability to identify or learn to identify local plant and wildlife species * Comfortable working in remote locations and challenging field conditions * Ability to use GPS units, tablets, and field data collection tools * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow data collection protocols * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * Valid driver's license and ability to operate a 4x4 vehicle * Flexibility in scheduling, including travel on short notice * Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic field environment * Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. Compensation: Pay commensurate with experience.
