    ABOUT THE POSITION :
    We're looking for compassionate Case Managers who are ready to make a difference in the lives of low-income adults living in the Tenderloin. Tenderloin Housing Clinic follows a "Housing First" model. Our Case Managers play a critical role in keeping tenants housed by working on-site directly with tenants, many of whom are dually-diagnosed.

    As a THC Case Manager you will have an assigned office at one of our Single Resident Occupancy (SRO) hotels with an assigned caseload of tenants. A typical work schedule for a full-time Case Manager is Monday -- Friday during the day.

    The Support Services Staff provides the following services:

    Intake & Assessment Case Management Benefits Advocacy Community Referrals Mediation with Property Management Conflict Resolution Support Groups Social Events Organized Tenant Activities Wellness Checks

    REQUIREMENTS :

    A successful candidate will have either:

    • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience working with diverse, low-income, homeless or formerly homeless population.

    OR

    • 2 years' verifiable experience providing case management services to homeless or formerly homeless population without a BA/BS

    We're looking for compassionate Support Service Managers with Leadership experience who are ready to make a difference in the lives of formerly homeless adults in downtown San Francisco!

    Tenderloin Housing Clinic manages 23 Single Room Occupancy residential hotels in the Tenderloin, Mission and Soma neighborhoods. Each Hotel has between 1 and 6 designated Case Managers depending on the size of the building. Caseloads are 1 Case Manager to 35 tenants. Each Support Services Manager supervises a team of 6 Case Managers at one or more sites.

    Tenderloin Housing Clinic (THC) is looking for a Staff Attorney who wants be part of an organization that positively changes lives!

    ABOUT the THC Legal Office:

    The THC Legal Office provides legal representation to low and moderate income tenants in San Francisco in all aspects of housing law. The Staff Attorney represents tenants citywide facing Ellis Act and Owner/Relative Move In evictions, and in affirmative lawsuits to remedy poor conditions, wrongful eviction and harassment. The THC Legal Office is committed to providing the highest level of representation and excellent results for its clients.

    DUTIES INCLUDE:
    - Counsel tenants to achieve resolution of disputes with their landlord.
    - Litigation of cases on behalf of tenants: initial investigation, drafting complaints and responsive pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, trials and appeals.
    - Work with community organizations to advance tenants' rights.
    - Compliance reporting for government contracts.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    A successful candidate will possess the following:

    California Bar membershipOne-year civil or criminal litigation experience requiredCommitment to advancing the rights of the underrepresentedUnderstanding and interest in working with low-income and minority clientsMust have ability to work independently and effectively manage a moderate-large caseload.Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines with excellent attention to detail.Fluency in Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin preferred.
