Tempered Transportation is looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Drivers can earn 15% - 20% of each load with the opportunity to increase pay with monthly performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centersInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenancePlan routes and meet delivery schedulesComply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents or violationsSkills
Proven work experience as a truck driverHands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)No recent moving or driving violationsExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)Requirements
