Role Description TechInsights is seeking a Senior Analyst, Compute AI Modeling. The ideal candidate will be an experienced contributor who brings deep technical and analytical expertise to TechInsights’ Compute and AI semiconductor coverage. The incumbent owns the development and continuous refinement of TechInsights’ proprietary Compute AI model — a unique synthesis of teardown, reverse-engineering, costing, and market intelligence data designed to position TechInsights ahead of peers and provide unmatched visibility into the AI compute supply chain. As a senior team member, the incumbent applies creative, logical, and technical problem-solving to complex modeling challenges, increasingly leveraging AI-enabled tools and methods to accelerate and deepen analysis. The role carries broad cross-functional exposure, partnering with analysts across the Market Intelligence organization’s coverage areas to ensure the model reflects and informs the full breadth of TechInsights’ semiconductor intelligence. The Senior Analyst also plays a key mentoring role, helping junior analysts — including those building visibility and market presence in adjacent AI coverage areas — grow their technical and analytical skills. This is the steady, expert counterpart to the team’s more externally-facing AI coverage: where junior analysts actively gather new insights and build market attention, the Senior Analyst, Compute AI Modeling, provides the deep, durable analytical backbone that gives that insight lasting authority. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in semiconductor market research, technology analysis, or related field, with demonstrated ownership of a product, model, or analytical framework over time Deep technical and analytical expertise in semiconductor markets and data modeling, including proficiency with sophisticated modeling techniques and AI-enabled tools Strong understanding of the semiconductor supply chain, including fabless, foundry, OEM, and hyperscaler segments Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems with creativity, rigor, and independent judgment, using minimal guidance Experience mentoring junior analysts and acting as a technical go-to resource across teams Strong communication skills, with ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Requirements Build, refine, and own technical quality of TechInsights' proprietary Compute AI model, synthesizing teardown, reverse-engineering, costing, and market intelligence data Maintain end-to-end market model for SoC processors and AI accelerators, covering market share, forecasts, bottom-up analysis by player/product, Silicon IP, design supply-chain, foundry/wafer demand, AI xPU performance, power demand, and token economics, extending into fabless, foundry, OEM, and hyperscaler segments Apply problem-solving and AI-enabled tools to accelerate modeling of AI silicon, packaging, and system-level cost/performance trends Document and evolve modeling methodology to scale across the Compute/AI practice Research, write, and publish senior-level technical analysis on the model's insights and supply chain implications Partner with other analysts across the Market Intelligence organization, serving as a technical resource and mentor (including for the team's AI Market Intelligence Analyst) Contribute to the team's Innovation Read Less
