    Tech24 in Ohio is proudly operated by former technicians with a heavy emphasis on quality of life for our technicians, and doing the right thing for our customers. We are looking for experienced Commercial HVAC, Refrigeration, and Commercial Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Technicians in our Dayton Ohio Market.

    Position Summary

    As part of the Tech24 OH team and broader Tech24 network, the Hot & Cold Technicians plays a critical role in servicing both commercial cooking (hot side) and refrigeration (cold side) equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in solving problems, minimizing customer downtime, and representing the company with professionalism.


    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.)Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company systemClearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customersManage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stockedRespond to service calls in a timely and professional mannerRepresent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer serviceFollow all safety regulations and company policiesParticipate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities


    Qualifications

    3+ years of commercial foodservice and/or refrigeration repair experienceValid drivers license with a clean driving record requiredStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprintsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditionsAbility to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quartersOwn industry standard hand toolsWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation as neededEPA Universal certification preferred


    Compensation Transparency

    The advertised pay range for this position is $25-$45. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications.     The Urbandale Service Center proudly supports customers throughout the greater Des Moines market and surrounding communities. Strategically located in Urbandale, our team delivers comprehensive commercial foodservice equipment repair, installation, and preventive maintenance services to restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, hospitality groups, and institutional kitchens across central Iowa. Backed by the national strength and resources of Tech24, our Urbandale branch combines local market expertise with expanded technical capabilities. Our technicians service a wide range of equipment including commercial refrigeration systems, hot-side cooking equipment, HVAC, and specialty foodservice equipment.
