    Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and enhancing operational efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support manufacturing systems that meet Tarter's production goals. Key Responsibilities:Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.Develop and implement manufacturing process improvements, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.Assist in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes and technologies.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing operations.
    Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the agricultural or related industry.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production methods.Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards such as OSHA and ISO.Certification as a Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) or similar credential.
    Responsibilities:Assist engineering and production teams in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the production floor to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.Support process improvement projects by collecting data, performing tests, and implementing engineering solutions.Document standard operating procedures, maintenance logs, and technical reports to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, safety, and supply chain to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
