    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Pull correct stock bottles from inventory and stage prescriptions for packaging.Accurately dispense and label prescription orders.When appropriate, prepare unit dose packaging (e.g., blister cards) based on the directions for use, either by hand or using packaging machines.When appropriate, pull the correct pre-packed blister card and affix prescription labels.Sort and organize completed prescriptions.Perform quality assurance checks as directed.Prepare orders for delivery.Perform other duties as assigned.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections in multi-state environmentProperly handle order exceptions such as refill-too-soon, invalid orders, etc.Working with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and obtain prior authorizationsManage routine notification of insurance issues and communicate with caregiversStay updated on current Medicare/Medicaid policies and common insurance practicesWork with others to resolve common coverage issues or concerns.Requirements:

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Working knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid in TexasMinimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment1+ year of recent experience with FrameworkLTCMust possess a TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician LicenseType an average of 50 wpmExcellent phone skills, verbal and written communication skills and active listeningProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (Outlook, Excel)Comfortable making phone calls and can handle difficult conversationsUnderstands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions

    Preferred Skills/Abilities
