THE ROLE As a Senior Software Engineer on the CMS Team you will create the authoring experience that enables our merchants to manage their account, build and deploy their app, create marketing campaigns, and review their app’s business performance across key metrics. This includes a powerful graphical editor (React/Next.js) and CLI tools that enable developers to customize and extend apps from the command line. You’ll be building the next generation of app development tools, enabling our merchants to take advantage of advanced AI integration every step of the way from sign-up through app design, launch, optimization, and maintenance over time. You’ll be a true owner, from prototype to production, and work side‑by‑side with product, design, and solutions engineering, all while staying close to merchants to deliver value early and iterate quickly. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Build an intuitive, drag‑and‑drop editor that visualizes app composition in real time. Integrate AI across our feature set to unlock super-human productivity. Multi-thread within each agency – building relationships with leadership, sales, delivery, and marketing to drive full-funnel partner engagement. Collaborate with partners on how to monetize services built around Tapcart, including implementation, retention strategy, and mobile app best practices. Drive thoughtful, well-planned execution — including account mapping, co-selling motions, GTM campaigns, and partner-led activations. WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL NEED 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years in partnerships, sales, solutions consulting, or a GTM-facing role requiring product depth. A clear track record of driving partner-led or partner-influenced pipeline through strategic execution. Confidence navigating technical conversations – you’re not a developer, but you’re comfortable explaining product architecture and integrations. Deep familiarity with how Shopify agencies operate, monetize, and scale. You take initiative and move fast, but you stay grounded in the strategy and know when to bring others in. You can hold a room with strong communication and dynamic presentation skills.
