Tanglewood Conservatories is seeking a Carpenter / Woodworker to join our team. This role focuses on the fabrication and assembly of high-end custom wood components used in conservatories, sunrooms, and specialty residential structures. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands architectural detail, and can execute clean, accurate work that enhances the overall quality of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble custom wood components and trim elementsOperate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficientlyRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and design specificationsEnsure all carpentry and woodworking meets company quality standards and specificationsCollaborate with project managers, designers, and production staffPerform adjustments and repairs to achieve a flawless final productMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow all safety guidelines and company protocolsQualifications
3+ years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, cabinetmaking, or finish carpentryStrong knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and fabrication techniquesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsHigh attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable transportation and valid driver’s licensePhysical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periodsPreferred Qualifications

Work in our in-house shop to build, mill, fit, and prepare trim components for custom structuresInspect and pack finished materials to ensure they arrive at job sites in perfect conditionLead installation projects with project team to project sites nationwideExecute precise, high-quality trim and finish carpentry on one-of-a-kind custom structuresBring your hand tools — we handle the restWhat You Bring:
3+ years leading construction teams of 3 or more crew members5+ years of trim carpentry experience, ideally in high-end residential or specialty constructionHands-on experience with wood shop tools, custom millwork, and finish detailingExceptional precision and an eye for detail in both shop and field settingsAbility to read blueprints and work from detailed specificationsFlexibility and enthusiasm for a role that moves between shop and travel (all travel and per diem covered)Who You Are:
