    Job Summary:

    Job summary:
    The HIM Operations Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to the HIM Operations teams.     Job Responsibilities:
    -The HIM Operations Supervisor will provide oversight and guidance of all processes and HIM staff related to chart completion, integrity of the medical record, release of information, and scanning.
    -Identifies and implements changes regarding policy, productivity, and quality measures and assures that staff performance meets expectations.
    -Evaluate staff performance on an annual basis. Accurately measures and evaluates staff performance, productivity and quality measures and assures that staff follows and meets departmental standards.
    -Responsible for administrative tasks such as preparing and approving work schedules and timecards.
    -Represents Health Information Management and attends meetings as directed.
    -Performs other duties and projects assigned by management.
    We are looking to thin the span of control of one of our supervisors who currently oversees chart completion, scanning, chart correction and identity. The current supervisor will continue to oversee chart completion and scanning, while this contractor supervisor will oversee identity and chart correction. We are looking for someone with strong background, skills and knowledge when it comes to patient identity, such as patient merging and overlays as well as navigating chart correction cases (preferably with Epic experience in this area) and can lead a team of a couple analysts.

    Required Skills & Experience:
    -At least five (5) years of HIM experience.
    -At least two (2) years of Experience progressively leading teams.
    -Epic proficiency.
    -Microsoft Office skills.
    Preferred Skills & Experience:
    -At least one (1) year of Cures Act and HIPAA Privacy Rules experience.
