To perform the duties associated with labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines. Responsible for operating packaging equipment ensuring target line rates are met. Collaborates effectively with other functional groups to ensure production goals are achieved and completed in a timely manner

Position Summary
The Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) at the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to work across three complex strategy areas: Workforce Development, Foundational Capabilities, and Data Modernization.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with complex tasks involved in the implementation and administration of the PHIG grant, a unique, cross cutting funding opportunity that supports all divisions and programs at RIDOH.
Organize and maintain official electronic files in MS Teams/SharePoint to ensure information is easy to find and cataloged for reference in the future.
Assist with the purchasing and procurement of good and services that support the goals of the PHIG grant.
Study and analyze operational procedures and prepare detailed and comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations.
Assist a with coordination and communication with other states PHIG teams.
Coordinate the flow of work across PHIG strategy areas and various program within the agency.
Track projects through execution and completion – elevate issues that need follow up.
Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of the executive leadership team and take notes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

" This position is in the Engineering Project and is focused on capacity additions and the associated line installations & debug from a mechanical perspective.
" Lead and/or participate on manufacturing engineering projects and lead/support teams for the purposes of capacity installations, equipment debug, and preparing line/associated parts for Operations Receivership.
" As a leading team member, provide advanced mechanical discipline to proactively identify technical problems through root cause understanding coupled with robust industrialized solutions relative to line debug and installs.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Maintain safe work practices, inform others of hazardous conditions or personal practices as expressed on project team. Manage and lead installation and debugging activities to meet milestone & timeline objectives for successful capacity adds. Design & implement mechanical solutions and process changes to improve capability of manufacturing equipment. Lead in or solve mechanical and process issues through data analysis, experience, and collaboration with subject matter experts Manage spare part identification and storeroom entry as recommended by suppliers or peer engineers, noting available spares within (2)-plant footprint. Develop and update engineering and operations documentation. Support training for operations workforce regarding equipment or operations changes Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery (e.g., pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.). Align, test, and calibrate mechanical systems after installation. Diagnose complex mechanical failures and recommend effective solutions. About the role:
Provide electrical discipline support in the construction, installation, debugging, and startup of equipment and automated systems, including hands-on support to the point of turnover to operations at both domestic and international manufacturing sites; the majority of time will be spent on the floor working on equipment.
Supervise and provide direction to internal or contract engineering techs, internal maintenance, and outside contract trades during all aspects of equipment installation and conversion such as demolition, construction, installation, testing, and debugging of production equipment.

BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Report and investigate all safety incidents.Develop understanding of process and equipment functions in the area of responsibilityAnalyze and correct equipment installation practices to improve efficiencies, specifically directed toward enhancing installation schedules.Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals without sacrificing safety, intellectual property, or quality.Interface with external system integrators and machine builders to successfully deliver fully integrated process equipment systems to plants on-time, on-budget and that satisfy performance measures.Perform hands-on troubleshooting, direct engineering techs and trades as necessary to replace defective components and execute changes to solve equipment/process issues.Provide training to internal or contract engineering techs, internal maintenance, and outside contract trades on new equipment installation procedures as required for the successful execution of installation activities.Review, “redline”, and modify existing installation checklists, machine part lists, illustrations, machine specs, schedules, and complete drawing packages including follow-up with drafting services.Provide direction to technicians.Create and modify existing documentation to complete drawing packages, installation checklists, machine part lists, illustrations, and machine specs of production equipment.Procure and expedite materials needed to build or install new or modified equipment. Assess the condition and usability of existing equipment for fit and function with new installation plans. Modify software programs used for process equipment control.Understanding use and set-up of machine controls for system analog and digital I/O requirements, control sequence logic, fail safe states and recovery sequence digital and analog I/OAssist in developing integrated industrial control systems for new manufacturing equipment and the modification of existing equipment.Re-design electrical components to reduce installation cost, solve equipment interferences, and correct inadequate designs. #TB_OTH
