    Unit Specifics:

    Number of Beds : 30 22 Acute Care 8 Stepdown

    Patient Ratios :6:1 on Acute Care 4:1 on Neuro stepdown

    Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1 RN Charge is over all of 10 tower, 1-2 Techs and a unit secretary.

    Type of equipment: Acute Care side: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. All things stroke. Neuro stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips.

    Documentation system: Meditech

    Scheduling requirements: This depends on schedule, Weekends shifts are required.

    Floating policy:. Experience nurses can float after orientation.

    Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle.

    Hospital Specifics-

    Certifications: BLS for Acute Care BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown.

    Requested Skill Set:

    Must have :

    Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management. Neuro stepdown, I would like stepdown experience.

    Advanced skills needed: Strong critical thinking skills.

    Procedures performed on unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.

    Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS

    Dress Code : (Required uniform) 10 Tower you can wear black, any shade blue or grey, and any color scrubs on Friday.

    Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.

    Awards/Recognition: We offer ICARE recognition, shout out board, and employee of the month.

    The Opportunity
    Perform weighing and dispensing of raw materials for process orders, inventory management, and warehouse management following applicable SOPs and Batch records.
    Will be required to accurately and consistently record methods, materials, and results in batch records according to established formats.
    Utilize SAP for inventory transactions of raw materials, dispensed materials, and IOR (Internal Order Request) accurately and on time.
    Ensure accurate inventory by monitoring and adjusting materials as needed.
    Manages schedules, workload and establishes priorities using inputs from business requirements, SAP, and customer needs.
    Expected to respond quickly and effectively to multiple and changing priorities and to schedule work effectively To ensure that current and future needs are met.
    Work in a team environment to ensure department goals are met.
    Keep supervisor informed on status of all projects and significant findings and results in critical areas.
    Ensure good cGMPs and cGDP are adhered to along with all OSHA safety regulations.
    Attend required training classes and participates in on-the-job training to ensure training compliance.
    Ensure work areas (labs, warehouse, satellite areas) are properly maintained and cGMP compliant.
    To assist and contribute with continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives.

    Education:
    Minimum (required): High School Diploma, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
    Preferred: Associates Degree

    Job-related Experience:
    2–4 years of experience
    Strong problem-solving skills
    Excellent communication abilities
    Knowledge in manufacturing, warehousing, and/or inventory management is desirable.

    Preferred (Optional)
    Experience in laboratory operations preferred

    Other Qualifications:
    Focus and attention to department needs.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel
    Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
    Ability to work under cGMP guidelines, and coordinate/implement production schedule is necessary.
    Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. daily is required.

    Job Overview

    Mission Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join its fast-paced 8K General Surgery Unit. This 44-bed medical-surgical unit cares for a diverse surgical patient population, including urology, bowel, plastics, ENT, and general surgery cases. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent communication skills, solid telemetry experience, and the ability to manage a high-acuity patient assignment.

    Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse

    Title: Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse (RN)

    12 months or more of Recent Dialysis experience required

    PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

    This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Client policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations.

    Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.

    Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post hemodialysis treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Physician as needed.

    Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family's basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family.

    Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.

    Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.

    Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.

    Serves as a resource for health care team, participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned.

    Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections.

    Identifies expected outcomes, documents and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.

    Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.

    Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

    The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, moving of patients and assisting with ambulation. Equipment aids and/or coworkers may provide assistance.

    This position requires frequent, prolonged periods of standing and the employee must be able to bend over.

    The employee may occasionally be required to move, with assistance, machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs., and may lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet.

    The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.

    May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.

    Day to day work includes desk work, computer work, interaction with patients, facility/hospital staff and physicians.

    The position may require travel to training sites or other facilities.

    May be asked to provide essential functions of this position in other locations with the same physical demands and working conditions as described above.

    Candidates are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment. Note that: Failing the Ishihara Test for Color Blindness does not preclude employment. The Company will consider whether reasonable accommodation can be made.

    SUPERVISION:

    Assigned oversight of Patient Care Technicians/LPNs/LVNs/RNs as a Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge, after meeting all the following:

    Successful completion of all client education and training requirements for new employees.

    Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN.

    Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN.

    EDUCATION and LICENSURE:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

    Current appropriate state licensure.

    Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.

    Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

    EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

    1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last two years as a RN.

    Chronic hemodialysis experience required

    Floating requirement: Client required candidates to float to area sites within 50 miles of the main site

    Shift details: Shifts will be discussed in detail during the interview; the role requires a commitment of 40 hours plus overtime and floating to area sites as need be. There is a minimum guarantee of 36 hours per week. Please note you are NOT eligible for Guaranteed hours if any of the following happen:
