Position
- Dispatcher/ Logistics Coordinator
• Location: Tampa, FL (4:1 hybrid schedule)
• Reports To: Director of Supply / FP&A
Position Summary
Role is focused on complex logistics execution across multiple transportation modes- coordinating shipments from origin through final delivery across truck, ocean, warehousing, and some rail/intermodal activity. Strong emphasis on shipment visibility, issue resolution, cross-functional coordination, and handling time-sensitive operational challenges.
• Manage complex logistics execution across multiple transportation modes and supply
chain touch-points.
• Coordinate shipments from origin through final customer delivery.
• Maintain visibility across truck, rail, ocean, port drayage, warehouse, and transfer
operations.
• Handle high-priority and abnormal shipments in fast-paced operational environments.
• Serve as a key operational bridge between: Dispatch, Rail, Operations, Warehousing,
Customer Operations, and Finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Logistics Coordination
• Coordinate shipments from origin to final customer delivery.
• Manage logistics execution across:
• Truck transportation
• Rail transportation
• Ocean freight
• Port drayage
• Warehousing
• Monitor shipment progress through all transportation legs.
• Maintain shipment visibility and execution accuracy.
- Refractory Container Logistics Management
• Coordinate refractory shipments originating in Mozambique.
• Track container loading, vessel departures, ocean transit, port activity, and warehousing.
• Coordinate final customer delivery.
• Resolve delays and transportation disruptions.Complex & Abnormal Shipment Coordination
• Manage multi-leg and multi-modal shipments.
• Coordinate emergency or time-sensitive shipments.
• Handle abnormal transportation issues and customer requests.
• Coordinate warehouse transfers and supply point movements.
• Ensure operational continuity during disruptions.
- Rail Coordination Support
• Support the Supply/Rail team with shipment visibility and coordination.
• Assist with rail-to-truck transitions.
• Coordinate inventory movement timing.
• Support transfer execution alignment.
• Help resolve logistics bottlenecks.
- Service & Quality Coordination
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Rail, Warehousing, and Customer Operations.
• Resolve delivery issues, service disruptions, product handling concerns, and customer
execution issues.
• Ensure problems are addressed quickly and permanently.
- Shipment Visibility & Risk Escalation
• Monitor active shipments daily.
• Identify and escalate shipment delays, inventory shortages, port congestion,
transportation disruptions, and service risks.
• Communicate risks proactively to leadership and internal teams.
Qualifications
- Required Experience
• 4+ years of logistics, dispatch, transportation, or supply chain experience.
• Experience coordinating complex or multi-modal shipments.
• Experience with truck, rail, warehousing, or container logistics.
• Experience working in fast-paced operational environments.
- Preferred Experience
• Ocean/container logistics experience.
• Port and drayage coordination.
• Rail shipment coordination.
• Industrial, manufacturing, or refractory supply chain experience.
• Business Central or ERP experience.

Compensation
• Base Salary: $70,000 – $75,000
• Bonus: 5% – 10% performance-based

Qualifications
