The Role We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Construction Helper to support our Lead Carpenters on active job sites - this is a full-time position with room to grow for the right person.
What You'll Do
Support Lead Carpenters on high-end residential remodeling projectsAssist with demolition, cleanup, and site organizationLearn to run base, trim, and other finish carpentry tasksRun materials to job sites including Home Depot and supplier pickupsKeep job sites clean, safe, and organized at all timesTake direction well and communicate clearly with the teamWhat We're Looking For

About the Role
Synergy Design & Construction is an award-winning residential remodeling firm in Reston, VA, and we're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Project Manager to own job sites from demo day through final punch list.
This is a working position — you'll be hands-on in the field while also serving as the primary point of contact for our clients and trade partners. We work exclusively in Reston and the immediate surrounding area. No Maryland. No DC.
What You'll Do
Perform hands-on carpentry: framing (floors, walls, decks), finish trim (crown, base, casing), and cabinetry installationLead demolition, rough framing, and punch list completionSupervise and inspect trade partner work across all disciplines — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, drywall, painting, and masonryRead and execute from detailed architectural plansManage job site schedule, budget adherence, and daily documentationServe as the on-site point of contact for homeowners throughout each projectWhat We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in residential remodeling (not new construction)Strong finish carpentry and cabinetry installation skillsProven ability to manage a job site independentlyComfortable reading architectural and construction plansExcellent communication skills — with clients, subcontractors, and an in-house design teamOrganized, accountable, and professionalA genuine pride in the finished productWhy Synergy
