    Syndeo has a direct hire opening for a Manufacturing Engineer (Full Time, Non-Exempt) for a local client who focuses on parts manufacturing in the aerospace and technology industries. 

    As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of all production-related manufacturing equipment & processes required to manufacture a high-quality product in a repeatable and cost-effective manner.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    ·       Understand and interpret customer specifications and create planning for operations to use to manufacture the contracted product or part.

    ·       Determine capital equipment needs & development of the budget process for equipment, training, software, and equipment installation projects

    ·       Increasing productivity through the support and leadership of people, processes and technology

    ·       Drive continuous improvement in labor costs through waste reduction, production efficiency, and operations improvement

    ·       Provides leadership to technical personnel to ensure ongoing product & process improvements to meet quality, CI and production goals

    ·       Provides technical support as required for critical process and product issues

    ·       Design processes, evaluate results and drive solutions to improve the processes

    ·       Effectively communicate and coordinate with production, support teams and other team members to resolve issues as they arise.

    ·       Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of a project and development plan

    ·       Analyze problems identified by operations or quality and to provide an effective workable resolution

    ·       Self-manage daily tasks with minimal supervision

    ·       Use Microsoft Outlook to effectively communicate ideas and requests to customers in a professional manner

    ·       Use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create work instructions and aides

    ·       Use CATIA or equivalent software for both analysis and manufacturing of parts

    ·       Acts as a leader to effectively communicate ideas in a professional manner

    ·       Produce repeatable results

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·       Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.

    ·       Knowledge of Contracts, Cost Management, and Aerospace Industry

    ·       5+ years of industry experience

    ·       CATIA or Equivalent Software

    ·       Microsoft Office Suite

    Syndeo has a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced HR and Safety Coordinator for a family-owned fertilizer company located in El Dorado, KS. The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties in both the Safety and Human Resources areas. This includes a full range of duties including but not limited to overseeing the company Safety Program, OSHA and EPA compliance, safety training, and other safety compliance and training duties in addition to various Human Resources responsibilities.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Manages employee safety program including pulling data and reports, scheduling safety meetings and/or Toolbox Talks.  Documents and creates the first report of injury form.  Works to minimize workplace incidents and document near misses.  Maintain and review written Safety Programs, as well as trainings to ensure Safety compliance with OSHA regulations and company operating procedures. Advise on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations.  Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Create recommendations for review and implementation.Manage time off requests, review time cards for errors, and maintain personnel documentation. Work with the Vice President and Plant Manager regarding personal issues and performance improvement plans.Audits personal policies and procedures for accuracy and functionality in conjunction with the Vice President and the plant manager. Instructions personal in correct policies and procedures based on their job functions.Requests any HR-related paperwork for new hires, terminations, employee status changes, and employee information changes; corresponds changes with 3rd party HR partner.Oversees the recruitment process along with our outsourced HR/Recruitment partner.  Schedules interviews with hiring managers; sends follow-up emails to candidates at the end of the recruiting process.  Communicates offers to our outsourced HR/Recruitment and coordinates requests for onboarding.Maintaining accuracy with personnel data in the payroll platform to include employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment areas.Process FMLA, disability claims, workers’ compensation claims, and maintain OSHA 300 Logs.

    Requirements:

    2-3 years HR and Safety Management experience.1+ years’ experience sourcing and recruiting talent.SHRM CP or other HR certification helpful.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly.Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Read work orders and similar documentation to stage product for painting.Prepare product for painting, to include clean and masking the product.Prepare paint for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns.Use cleaning fluids to clean the machines and the work area.Apply paint to various sized parts, miscellaneous components, and equipment frames.Operate paint booths.Operate hand-held paint spray guns.Observe paint results for quality.Make decisions regarding acceptability of results.Troubleshoot when product appearance is less than desired.Control temperature, operate and clean paint equipment, check and adjust paint viscosity.Other duties include cleaning and maintenance of paint line, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and to service and check chemical levels in appropriate locations.


    Competencies: Level 1 –Paint Operator
