    About the Role

Symons Garage Door Group is hiring a hands-on Service Manager to run the heartbeat of our Shreveport operation. This is a truly varied role: mornings might mean invoicing customers and managing orders; afternoons might mean unloading a truck or organizing warehouse stock. And on days when our full-time driver is out, you'll cover his route — a full-day delivery run through Louisiana or Texas. You'll be the person customers meet at the counter, the one who keeps inventory straight, and the one who makes sure what we promised goes out the door. If you like variety, take ownership, and are equally comfortable at a keyboard and on a warehouse floor, this role was built for you.

    What You'll Do

    •   Front office — Serve customers at the counter, by phone, and by email; create estimates, sales orders, and invoices; post payments and manage accounts receivable in our systems (we will train); monitor the customer portal and process orders.

    •   Warehouse — Load and unload trucks; receive, organize, and prep garage doors and parts; maintain accurate inventory counts and flag reorder needs; keep the warehouse safe and orderly.

    •   Backup driver — Serve as backup to our full-time truck driver — when he is out, cover his full-day delivery route (Louisiana and Texas) in our box truck. No CDL required; we'll sponsor your DOT medical card.

    What We're Looking For

    Required

    •   Experience in a warehouse, trades, building-materials, or similar hands-on environment — comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

    •   Strong customer service skills — professional and friendly in person and on the phone.

    •   Solid computer experience — comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and learning our invoicing/order systems (we provide training).

    •   Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; able to obtain a DOT medical card (Company-paid).

    •   Able to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs, load/unload trucks, and be on your feet for extended periods.

    •   Organized, reliable self-starter with a consistent, stable work history.

    •   High school diploma or equivalent; must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

    Preferred

    •   Accounting or bookkeeping experience — invoicing, A/R, posting payments.

    •   Any background in the trades, deliveries, building supply, or a similar hands-on industry is a plus — garage-door experience is great but not expected. We'll teach you the product.

    •   Forklift experience; box-truck or delivery-driving experience.

    Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $56,000–$58,000 per year, depending on experience — overtime-eligible — plus discretionary performance bonus potential.

    •   Medical benefit: $500/month toward the health plan you choose.

    •   401(k) with 3% automatic company contribution (after eligibility).

    •   Paid time off (15 days) and 8 paid holidays.

    •   Company-paid DOT medical card.

    •   Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Benefits begin after 60 days of employment.
