Position Overview:
We have an immediate need for Hematology - Oncology physicians for our veteran population. These roles offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in veterans lives while experiencing the beauty of the Northeast.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in an inpatient and outpatient clinic setting.
Evaluate, triage and prioritize consults from primary care and other services for outpatient oncology consultations.
Obtain medical history, conduct physical examinations, order and evaluate appropriate laboratory testing, and plan and prescribe treatment for patients.
Coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other personnel in a multidisciplinary health care delivery system.
Perform administrative tasks as assigned such as peer review and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations.
Provide oncology on-call services as assigned.
Must have completed a residency and be Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology Board.
Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
Hours & Schedule:
Standard Administrative Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am 4:30pm (excluding federal holidays).
Specific clinic times to be identified upon start of assignment
On-call hours required

Position Overview:
We have an immediate need for one Multiple (Up to 8) Psychiatrists to provide mental health care for our veteran population at the VA Medical Center located in Tuskegee, AL and supporting outpatient locations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on veterans lives while experiencing the mystique of the South.
Scope of Care:
Inpatient Care:
o Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients
o Admitting
o Diagnosis of patients
o Developing Treatment Plans
o Managing, including the performance of timely treatment
o Discharge/Transfer
o Including all needed medical record documentation
o Outpatient Care
o Seeing all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records
o Seeing severely mental ill patients
o Evaluation disposition E-consult
o Post-discharged follow up
Clinic and Residential Care:
o 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 bookable patient hours per day
Peer Reviews:
o This shall include, but not be limited to: tort claims, patient family complaints, Mental Health case reviews, peer reviews, and Health case reviews, peer reviews, and benefit appeals.
Scheduling:
o Contractor and VA Chief of Mental Health shall prepare monthly call schedules for coverage of Mental Health emergencies. A draft schedule shall be 36C24725Q0453 submitted to the office of the VA Chief, Mental Health Service/Administrative Officer within five (5) working days prior to the end of each month.
Communication of Test Results and Discharge Education must be provided as well.
Qualifications:
Must have completed a residency in Psychiatry and be Board Certified / Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
Hours & Schedule:
Full Time Regular Hours: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
On Call Hours coverage shift rotations:
o Nights: M-F 4:30pm 7:30am
o Weekends: Friday 4:30pm Monday 8:00am
o Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays each a 24-hour shift 8am 8pm
