The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Maintenance Manager include but are not limited to: 1. Supervising and performing electrical, mechanical, and electronic upgrades and repairs on all machinery and equipment. Examples of key duties are: 2. Servicing the ink and wash up systems in the printing presses 3. Becoming proficient in the set up and operation of all bag machines 4. Electromechanical troubleshooting of all plant machinery and equipment 5. Performing mechanical and electrical upgrades on machines 6. Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic schematics 7. Assisting Converting Manager and Shift Leads in accident investigations and helping to make improvements to prevent accidents 8. Performing PM tasks 9. Helping to create PM schedules for all machines 10. Repairing mandrels and rack in and out systems on printing presses 11. Repairing unwind/rewind drives and slicing systems on printing presses 12. Changing bearings on all machinery and equipment 13. Maintaining and tracking an accurate inventory of spare parts 14. Directing contractors in the plant and overseeing them on projects 15. Being on call and coming in to work on off hours when breakdowns occur 16. Advanced electrical troubleshooting of servo drives and PLCs 17. Developing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and safety 18. Project Management installing new equipment, upgrading existing equipment, and relocating existing equipment 19. Maintenance and repair of plant support equipment, including but not limited to air compressors, chillers, HVAC and oxidizers 20. Acquiring parts from various vendors at best pricing and delivery 21. Performing other duties as assigned. Relocation help available
