The Process Technician provides support for Operations during a rotation of shifts. The Process Technician is responsible for routinely monitoring production activities to ensure safety and compliance, monitoring quality control (QC) testing and documentation, troubleshooting process and quality issues, sample management and other duties. The Safety Health Environmental and Security (SHE&S) Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating EHS components for personnel, materials, equipment, and environment to achieve environmental and safety effectiveness for the company. This position reports to the Plant Manager. This individual will lead progressive safety and environmental programs at the SURTECO Auburn facility.
Direct Reports: SHE&S Specialist
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Leads a safety team which includes the SHE&S Specialist
• Complete yearly performance reviews with regular check-ins throughout the year.
• Manage PTO requests, time, attendance, etc. for the safety team.
• Assists HR in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and maintain environmental and safety management programs to assure compliance with
all safety, health and environmental permits, laws, regulations, and company policy.
• Preparation of required federal, state, and local reporting for the plant. Reports may include
Title V air emission inventories, compliance certifications, annual waste, NPDES and POTW, Tier
II and TRI reports, etc.
• Partner with regional and global SHE&S leaders to assure compliance with environmental
permits and standards.
• Maintain interactive and positive relationships with local regulatory agencies.
• Perform audits and inspections of plant operations and programs to ensure compliance with
standards applicable to the plant (Environmental, Safety/PSM, Responsible Care, ISO 9001,
TSCA, RMP, etc.), and to ensure safe operations; provide plant leadership and guidance in these
areas.
• Manage the development and maintenance of programs and/or processes that assure
conformance with SURTECO Safety Standards and Environmental Management Standards.
• Prepare periodic safety and environmental reporting documents as required, including OSHA,
EPA, other safety, and health records and all SURTECO required safety, health, environmental
and security reporting.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations as needed and track corrective actions. Risk rank
and track all SHE&S corrective/preventive actions.
• Schedule and conduct required safety, health, environmental and security training.
• Manage the facility workers’ compensation claims in collaboration with the HR department.
• Be an integral part of the plant leadership team which requires the individual to: develop SHE&S
annual operating and strategic plans; coordinate and interact with other department
managers; and serve as facilitator for the site central safety committee.

Job Summary
The Prematcher is responsible for blending necessary inks and coatings to efficiently and effectively achieve proper color for production. This position also entails prematching ink to lab and press standards for production. The Prematcher will manage all hazardous waste (solid, non-pumpable and pumpable) created during their shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Match color of blended ink to lab prematch drawdown standards or press folder prematch drawdown standards to prepare proper ink for stages of press. Following match, assist production when necessary with color match adds to adjust inks as needed based on formula from ink folder. Blend inks and coatings in preparation of production jobs and put away balance residues from production run and close out ink card. Pull necessary drums and totes in order to refill ink dispense and manual ink add stations. Check viscosity of inks and document on ink card. Use required solvents to reduce to correct viscosity and record on ink card. Review upcoming production schedule to plan ink blending and line up production box to make sure priority in blending for press Understand and use ink formulation software for use when color is off significantly. Make ink adds as needed for press based on color match instructions. Store inks ready for press in staging area, ensure properly labeled. Drive forklift for ink room needs & ensure inks are organized in ink room Upkeep of coating materials and ink materials for dispense machines. Handle any hazardous waste generated so it is put in proper storage area- must follow department hazardous waste guidelines. The Electrical Mechanical Technician will provide maintenance and new installation support to the production facility. The position is expected to apply their knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, and electronics operations to design, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair systems.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.
The Electrical Mechanical Technician (EMT) works as part of a team responsible for maintaining all electrical and mechanical equipment necessary to operate the facility to produce decorative laminate films. This technician will be assigned to work alone or with a group depending on the job requirements and be an active participant in plant safety. This position will work from a daily schedule, however, must be flexible depending on our schedule to meet customer requirements.
Hourly pay rate is based on skill, progressing over a 24-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
• Have a Safety-First approach– Demonstrate/perform a commitment to safety by actively participating in training, working safely, and continuously working to improve the work environment, while supporting a positive safety culture.
• Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance to specified equipment for production or building services.
• Rebuild equipment as necessary, e.g., pumps/rolls/gear-reducers/rotary unions/blowers/choppers/fans/air shafts/clutches.
• Analyze and troubleshoot machinery or process problems as necessary.
• Provide on-call and off-shift support for the facility to include potential work/overtime work on weekends, holidays, and during maintenance shutdowns.
• Have a working knowledge of all procedures necessary to perform equipment and facility maintenance.
• Works with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement improvements including but not limited to Safety, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering.
• Make determinations on equipment malfunctions, solve problems, and recommend solutions for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
• Perform skilled duties on, but not limited to motors, drives, converters, controllers, circuit boards, relays, electronic or electrical components, power distribution systems, lighting, HVAC, and general building utility services.
• Plan, layout, estimate and implement minor and major repairs, changes or installations as needed.
• Work from schedules, drawings, schematics, manuals, written and verbal instructions with standard maintenance practices to provide timely service to all departmental equipment. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team in a high-performance work environment
• Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Aptitude
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Trade certification in electromechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or similar role.
• Prefer 3+ years’ experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Available to work all shifts as needed
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities, including but not limited to ladders, stairs, mezzanines, and roof.
• Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment.
• Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
Travel Requirements:
Time spent away from home or typical office location.

The Calender Mix A Operater will run the mix equipment and perform various duties to blend and mix raw materials consistently to produce quality material to be calendered with focus being on matching color to standard and maintaining color consistency throughout the Calendering process.
