Familiar with setting up networks in the field Integration Engineers/Edge Node Location - Charleston, SC Clearance - Active TS/SCI M-F Days Onsite New 5 year award Travel required We are seeking a Software Integrator with Edge Node Administration experience to join our team. The software integrator will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment. This position is 100% onsite. No hybrid/flex or remote work schedules are permitted for this effort. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and optimize software systems running on distributed edge nodes. Integrate applications and services at the edge to ensure low latency, high availability, and efficient resource utilization across networked environments. Work with software developers, DevOps engineers, and network architects to deliver scalable, high-performance edge computing solutions. Integrate and deploy applications, containers, and services across edge nodes and distributed environments. Develop and maintain integration pipelines for continuous deployment and monitoring of edge workloads. Collaborate with software teams to containerize, modularize, and adapt applications for edge execution. Analyze performance bottlenecks in edge systems (compute, memory, I/O, and network) and implement optimization strategies. Fine-tune data synchronization, caching, and message routing between edge and cloud systems. Implement intelligent workload orchestration for resource-efficient edge operations. Ensure secure and reliable software deployment across heterogeneous edge hardware. Apply cybersecurity best practices, including encryption, authentication, and runtime protection at the edge. Develop monitoring frameworks to capture performance metrics, latency, and resource utilization. Automate deployment, scaling, and fault recovery of edge workloads. Work with network engineers, cloud architects, and embedded systems developers to ensure seamless end-to-end system performance. Support testing, debugging, and validation across distributed environments. Conduct software integration and validation testing to identify and resolve technical issues. Ensure integrated systems meet program requirements for reliability, security, and scalability. Qualifications BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. COMPTIA Sec + or higher certification Minimum of 7 years' experience Strong understanding of software integration methodologies, data exchange formats and messaging protocols. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools Proficiency with scripting and automation Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization technologies.
