Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Interview patients to obtain a detailed history and list of medicationsAssist in the examination and treatment of patientsRecord details of office visit into patients' electronic medical recordProvide patient education resourcesDraw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for labPrepare exam rooms for patientsAssist with biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic procedures including set-up, clean-up, patient prep, and documentation in electronic medical recordCall patients with lab/path resultsPhone in or E-prescribe prescriptions and refillsHandle prior authorizations in a timely and efficient mannerKeep exam rooms stocked with needed supplies; order supplies as neededPerform general housekeeping dutiesSkills and Qualifications
