    The Opportunity

    The Payroll Manager will lead a small team of three employees, ensuring accurate and compliant processing of multi-state weekly payroll, handling general ledger reconciliations, and managing tax and garnishment set-ups. The ideal candidate will have expertise and hands on payroll processing in Workday, along with strong knowledge of payroll regulations and reporting requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee the accurate and timely processing of multi-state weekly payroll for all employees. Ability to run payroll (hands on) when needed.Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 3 payroll professionals, ensuring high performance and a collaborative work environment. Partner regularly with benefits team/functions as related to system set up, feeds and benefit deductions. Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including wage and hour, tax filings and reporting.System Management: Administer and optimize payroll systems (UKG and Workday), ensuring data integrity, system upgrades, and troubleshooting. Experience with implementation of new payroll systems highly desired.General Ledger: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate payroll-related entries, reconciliations, and reporting.Tax Set-Ups: Manage and maintain accurate employee tax setups, including multi-state requirements.Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in payroll and time management processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Reporting: Prepare and review payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external audits.Auditing: Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity.Training: Develop and provide training materials and lead time management training as scheduled and as needed to employees and managers.
    What You Will Bring

    Minimum of 10 years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a management roleBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (and/or equivalent years of experience). CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plusExperience in process improvement initiatives related to payrollExperience processing payroll in Workday strongly preferredExperience with payroll system implementation & migration strongly preferredDeep understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and tax compliance, including California (CA) lawStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent leadership and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data with confidentialityProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systemsFamiliarity with integrating payroll systems with accounting, benefits and HR systems

    About the Position

    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex, cross functional initiatives that support the company's strategic priorities. This role leads enterprise level projects and provides guidance and support for department-led initiatives to ensure consistent project management practices and successful delivery of business outcomes.

    This position has a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration, including due diligence support, integration planning, and post-close execution. The Senior Project Manager ensures alignment of newly acquired entities and drives successful post-merger operational readiness across people, processes, systems, and culture.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.Project management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent) required.5+ years of experience managing large, complex projects or cross-functional initiatives, including enterprise-wide implementations and/or business transformation.2+ years managing M&A integration or organizational transformation initiatives preferred.Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead through ambiguity in dynamic, high-change environments.Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and identify interdependencies across projects.Experience with operational readiness, transformation programs, or enterprise system implementations.Experience with formal project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)Experience coordinating projects with senior leadership and key stakeholders.Experience working in or alongside a PMO or Enterprise PMO environment.

    About the Role

    The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) is responsible for growing revenue and market share by acquiring new business and expanding relationships within existing
    accounts. This role focuses on providing equipment rental solutions that meet customer needs through consultative selling, proactive prospecting, and strong territory and
    account management. The OSR builds credibility as a trusted advisor by demonstrating deep product knowledge, professional communication, and consistent follow-up.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to grow revenue and market shareBuild and manage a healthy sales pipeline through disciplined prospecting and lead conversionDevelop and execute territory plans to strategically prioritize and maximize customer coverageEstablish and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers through regular engagement at jobsites and officesEducate customers on Sunstate's products, services, and applications to support their operational needsPresent compelling proposals and negotiate pricing that balances customer value with Sunstate's financial objectivesDemonstrate confidence and skill in closing deals across all customer segmentsUse CRM to document daily activity, manage follow-ups, and track trends; ensure accurate and timely entriesCollaborate with internal teams (Dispatch, Branch Managers, Sales Leaders) to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless executionResolve customer concerns with urgency and professionalism, ensuring long term relationship strengthStay informed on industry trends, competitors, and local market dynamicsAttend and participate in professional associations and networking events to increase brand visibilityMaintain compliance with all Sunstate policies, safety standards, and operational proceduresOccasionally support equipment deliveries and pickups, including loading/unloading and transportation
    Education/Years of Experience:

    High School/GED Preferred but Not RequiredNo specific degree required2-4 Years of Relevant Experience
    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Strong understanding of Sunstate's equipment and service offerings or ability to learn quicklyComfortable navigating job sites and interacting with various customer types (field, office, decision-makers)Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor messaging and present solutions effectivelySkilled in consultative selling, negotiation, and closing techniquesHighly self-managed with strong time management, planning, and organizational abilitiesProficient in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite; able to use mobile devices to manage tasks and communicationDemonstrated resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, competitive environmentsAbility to frequently climb into/out of trucks and equipment trailers; able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 90 lbs. occasionallyMust be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain a DOT medical cardMust adhere to drug and alcohol testing policies
