    About Sunnyside Nursing Post-Acute Care

    Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care.     Position Overview

    The Staff Developer/Clinical Trainer plays a vital role in delivering education and training programs for the facility, ensuring that all staff members are well-equipped to provide high-quality care to our residents. This position is designed to enhance the competencies of nursing staff and promote best practices throughout the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate all staff development activities and training programs with specific concentration on Licensed and Registered Nurses.Develop educational materials and programs for in-service training aimed at enhancing staff skills and knowledge.Monitor and assess training effectiveness and staff performance, providing feedback and mentoring as necessary.Collaborate with facility leadership to ensure alignment of staff development initiatives with organizational goals.Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning nursing associate staff training.Conduct needs assessments and identify opportunities for improvement in training and development.Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.Report to the Director of Staff Education or Chief Clinical Officer regarding staff training progress and outcomes.

    Requirements

    Clear and active LVN or RN license in the State of California.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility in the supervisory role.Experience in staff development, training, or educational roles.Strong knowledge of nursing practices and regulations applicable to nursing staff.Exceptional leadership and communication skills.Ability to effectively lead training sessions and facilitate learning.Expertise with PointClickCare (PCC).Must be authorized to work in the United States.Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate training schedules.

    Shift:

    Monday - Friday

    May require occasional weekend duties as needed.

    The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Clinical Officer in overseeing the clinical operations of our skilled nursing facility while ensuring high-quality care.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of nursing services in accordance with professional standards and regulations.Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols.Coordinate resident care activities with the healthcare team, enhancing interdisciplinary communication.Assist in ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.Contribute to staff training and development to promote effective nursing practices.Support the Chief Clinical Officer in administrative functions and operational planning.Support the clinical team to promote retention and job satisfactionProvide support the clinical team afterhours and over the weekend when necessaryResponsible for hiring, progressive discipline, training, mentoring, and coaching staff

    Requirements

    Must have a current and active California Registered nurse license (BSN preferred)Strong professional communication, relationship building, and organization skillsThree to five years nursing leadership experience; direct personnel management experience highly preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to run with large conceptual ideas, operationalize projects, and direct appropriate staffKnowledge of Point Click Care (PCC) Must be authorized to work in the United States
