  Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to support the design and development of utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with solar PV systems, structural and electrical design, and will collaborate closely with project management, construction, and procurement teams to deliver efficient, safe, and code-compliant solar installations. Key Responsibilities: Design utility-scale solar PV systems, including layout, structural, electrical, and civil components. Create and review 2D and 3D models using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, or similar). Perform system performance calculations, energy yield analysis, and shading studies. Develop and review structural designs for solar racking, foundations, and mounting systems. Collaborate with EPC teams to ensure designs are constructible, cost-effective, and compliant with local codes and regulations. Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for permitting, procurement, and construction. Conduct design reviews and coordinate with utilities, stakeholders, and subcontractors. Identify design risks and propose mitigation strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering. 3+ years of experience in solar design or utility-scale renewable energy projects. Proficiency in CAD and PV system design software. Knowledge of structural, electrical, and civil aspects of PV systems. Familiarity with NEC, UL standards, and local permitting requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with energy modeling, shading analysis, and solar interconnection studies. Understanding of utility-scale EPC project workflows.   The Director of Project Management is responsible for overall project delivery of utility-scale solar EPC projects at the site level. This role has full accountability for schedule, budget, contract execution, and client satisfaction from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through Commercial Operation Date (COD). Working closely with the Construction Director, this position leads project controls, reporting, and commercial management to ensure successful project outcomes and margin protection. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Oversight Serve as the senior project leader responsible for end-to-end delivery of on-site EPC projects (20MW–500MW+) Partner with the Construction Director to align field execution with project objectives Ensure all project functions (construction, engineering, procurement, commissioning) are coordinated and integrated Schedule & Cost Management Own and manage the master project schedule, including critical path and milestone tracking (NTP to COD) Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to ensure financial targets are met Lead variance analysis and implement corrective actions to address schedule or cost deviations Contract & Commercial Management Administer EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with scope, terms, and conditions Lead change order management, claims development, and dispute resolution Protect project margins through proactive commercial oversight and risk mitigation Project Controls & Reporting Direct project controls including scheduling, cost tracking, and performance reporting Provide regular updates to executive leadership and clients (progress, risks, financials) Implement KPI tracking and reporting systems to measure project performance Risk & Issue Management Identify project risks across schedule, cost, supply chain, and execution Develop and implement mitigation strategies Escalate critical issues and drive timely resolution Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for the client/owner on project performance Manage relationships with utilities, regulators, and third-party stakeholders Lead project meetings, reporting reviews, and executive updates Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred) 10–15+ years of project management experience, including utility-scale solar or large infrastructure EPC projects Proven track record managing full lifecycle EPC contracts from NTP to COD Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, and cost management practices Experience with project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, MS Project) Core Competencies Strategic project leadership and execution Strong commercial and financial acumen Advanced risk management and problem-solving Excellent communication and client management skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex project environments Work Environment Primarily based at active project sites with regular travel as needed Combination of field and office-based work Requires ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure construction environments Extended hours may be required to meet critical project milestones Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No Read Less

Manage project forecasts with the support of the Project Controls team to drive an accurate forecast complete with identification of risks and opportunities.
