What will you do:
Greets patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.Scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties, answering patients' questions, and maintaining the reception area.Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording, and collecting patients. charges, controlling credit extended to patients, filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.Verify insurance benefits and obtain referrals and prior authorizations as needed.Helps patients in distress by responding to urgencies and emergencies.Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Performs other duties as assigned and required.What are we looking for:
High school diploma/GED required.Some colleges preferred.A minimum of two (2) years of medical front office experience is required.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Experience using Electronic Medical Record systems. (EMRs)Experience using multi-line phone systems.Experience scheduling.Excellent patient service and patient relationship skills.Detail-oriented, reliable, and efficient.Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.What are the details:
