Storion is an innovative stored energy components and solutions provider focusing on LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage) flow batteries.Storion's new production facility and operations lab is located north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. This is a paid Co-Op position with the expectation students will rotate semesters between work and school. We are looking for Chemical Engineering students for a Co-Op beginning summer/fall of 2025.

  • Quality Engineer AR

    Overview
    This role will be responsible for ensuring the continued site adherence to the Stryten Energy quality plan. Provide technical support to all site personnel as required while maintaining incoming, in process, and outgoing quality. Troubleshoots quality problems, provides prompt corrective actions to rectify quality issues, and monitors supplier part quality. Have a thorough working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements.
    Responsibilities
    Supplied part quality.  Can quickly segregate and quarantine suspect parts, collect all pertinent information, complete the SCAR forms to submit to the supplier, monitor the supplier’s response, and maintain a SCAR log.Maintain the control plan by process and continued compliance.Create and maintain work instructions for operators. This includes any 1st Piece Inspection / start up sheets. Manage and communicate any changes or replacement of work instructions. Evaluate employee workmanship, production processes, rework procedures, and measurement equipment to ensure they are under control and capable of producing a consistent quality product.  Verify conformity to site quality plan and effective appropriate corrective action.Maintain compliance of all documents to the quality systems documentation process.Responsible for the coordination and completion of PPAP parts through the site process – manufacturing feasibility for supplied components and compliance to Stryten Energy procedures for manufactured parts.Assist with customer complaints and work with operations to respond and drive corrective actions to closure. Work with the team on problem solving initiatives and link actions and outcomes to Control Plans, PFMEA’s, site inspection points, and Customer returns.Shared responsibility with Process Engineering that all PFMEA’s are updated with related documentation.Coordinate the data collection and report out of the Stryten Energy process and product characteristics as well as all customer required data reports and QMR. Coordinate, participate in, and submit all Navy data packages for product acceptance prior to shipments.Provide day to day quality and technical support to all manufacturing disciplines and quality assurance in the form of quality plans, procedures, and engineering support.Schedule and conduct MSA’s on all testing procedures. Coordination with site and corporate engineering all capability studies (short term and long term).Coordination with corporate engineering that all customer returns being evaluated, documented, and proper corrective action forms are filled out and submitted on time.Participation in the APQP process of new product and process development.Revisions to Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and current testing techniquesParticipation in PFMEA reviews and development of new testing requirementsVoice of customer requirementsCoordinate usage of statistical process control to ensure SPC procedures are achieving the desired effect in improving product quality and reducing manufacturing cost.Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

    Overview
    Stryten Energy, with a long history in Lancaster County, operates a growing plastic injection molding facility in West Lampeter Township.  We produce plastic components for car batteries and have a stable and growing customer base.The objective of the Machinist C is to assist and support the mold shop activities as it relates to mold preparation, mold maintenance, and mold repair.This is a 1st shift position (Monday-Friday; 7am - 3pm)
    Responsibilities
    • Perform task assigned by Machinist Lead.
    • Moves injection molds around the facility as required by the toolroom and production departments.
    • Disassembly of injection molds, cleaning, changeover of components, and reassembly of the mold when completed
    • Electrical checks of mold heaters and thermocouples.
    • Water pressure checks of mold.
    • Complete mold and equipment work orders using computerized mold repair database.
    • Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of the toolroom department as instructed by management.
    • Reports unsafe conditions to the Supervisor for immediate action.
    • Other miscellaneous dutes as assigned.
    Qualifications

    • Understanding of machining principles, preferred.

Must have industrial electrical knowledge and strong mechanical abilities. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems in a fast paced, automated manufacturing environment. Candidates must be open to shift changes, and a technical degree or training is preferredThis is a 1st shift position (Monday - Friday; 7am - 3pm)
    Responsibilities
    • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and compliance ability with NFPA and OSHA regulations as well as demonstrated mechanical ability.
    • Performs electromechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
    • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Overview
    This individual will design and develop innovative, cost effective battery products for Transportation applications. These products may include Flooded, EFB and AGM products. Primary development focus includes electrochemical, component and material design. The individual will support new product development and market launches that support top line revenue growth as well as projects focused on driving non-value added cost out of the product. This position must be able to interpret internal and external customer specifications and requirements and translate this to a clear and concise product development program. This position requires the ability to coordinate cross functional teams and track and monitor project status. This position must work with Sales, Marketing, Quality, Operations and other groups to ensure customer expectations are met. The position will also work with other Engineering staff to assure innovative ideas are leveraged into value to the business.     The Continuous Improvement Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing a plant-wide team system to develop a culture of improving key performance indicators such as manufacturing OEE, product quality, waste reduction, energy conservation, safety, and operating costs. The Continuous Improvement Analyst will utilize both Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, techniques, and tools to facilitate the transfer of such learning in the plant, develop individual champions and teams necessary to support continuous improvement activities consistent with achieving business goals.
    Responsibilities
    Serve as project lead on complex projects. Define and manage project scope and objectives to include identification and recommendation of creative solutions. Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans and deliverables.     Stryten Energy is hiring an Automation Engineering Manager to lead our Automation Engineering team. Your expertise will help guide us and drive our increasing automation needs across our manufacturing portfolio in North America. The role is highly visible and impacts all our current operations including recycling, plastics manufacturing, and all transportation and industrial battery manufacturing. The automation team will be responsible for improving three key areas: process capability, asset utilization, and process safety. This will enable us to achieve material savings, scrap reduction, labor reduction, increased manufacturing capacity, and improvements to operator safety.
