Summary
The position reports to the Vice President of Business Development with the exclusion focus on high client service levels and business growth to assigned accounts across a variety of markets.
As an Account Executive you will be responsible for effectively communicating the features and benefits of our products and services to assigned accounts. You will be positioned as a skilled expert in the direct marketing challenges our clients face, build relationships with key decision makers at all levels, and grow the partnerships by consistently presenting the clients with a variety of ideas and solutions using a consultative approach.
Qualified candidates will engage with clients, have a strong understanding of the client’s direct marketing needs, identify value-added solutions, provide solution-based recommendations and proposals, and seamlessly execute with the highest level of detail and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong, proactive, and enthusiastic relationships.Own regular client communications and ensure client satisfaction through consistent, solution-oriented engagement.Conduct on-site and virtual client visits in a professional, client-centric manner.Cultivate strategic relationships and partnerships with all assigned accounts.Develop multiple points of contact within each client organization to strengthen the partnership, improve visibility, and support long-term retention and growth.Field client inquiries and coordinate with internal departments and external partners to deliver accurate proposals, estimates, and recommendations.Perform quarterly and annual client business reviews.Actively network and build relationships within assigned industries to identify opportunities, stay informed on trends, and strengthen the company’s presence.Become an insider to each client’s industry - developing a strong understanding of their challenges, terminology, competitive landscape, and business goals to deliver more strategic, relevant solutions.Represent the company at relevant industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to stay current on market trends and expand professional relationships.Direct Marketing Strategy & Program Performance
Leverage expertise in direct marketing to identify opportunities that drive improved response and lift across client programs.Provide data-driven recommendations for A/B testing, creative strategies, segmentation, and personalization enhancements.Analyze campaign performance and translate insights into actionable program improvements and optimization strategies.Support clients with test planning and performance reviews, ensuring key learnings are applied to future campaigns.Stay up to date on industry best practices and trends to provide proactive, strategic guidance.Project & Program Oversight
Lead contract negotiations, program onboarding, and client deliverables from start to finish.Create detailed project estimates and proposals, presenting them clearly and confidently to clients.Review all major deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.Ensure programs are structured for both efficiency and profitability.Work closely with Account Managers to maintain visibility into project status, identifying risks and advocating for client success.Cross-Functional Coordination
Communicate client needs effectively to production and support teams to ensure seamless execution.Collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality, accurate, and on-time projects.Provide strategic recommendations related to database services, list targeting, program enhancements, and process improvements.Performance & Sales Goals
Consistently meet or exceed sales and client service performance goals.Proactively identify mutually beneficial opportunities within assigned accounts.Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, follow-through, and accountability in all aspects of the role.Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or marketing strategy roles, ideally within direct marketing, print, or integrated marketing environments.Proven experience managing complex programs, estimates, and timelines across multiple clients and internal departments.Experience with contract negotiation, program onboarding, and proposal development.Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of direct marketing principles, including testing strategies, segmentation, personalization, and campaign performance analysis.Familiarity with print production, inkjet and digital press workflows, and data-driven marketing technologies is a plus.Ability to stay informed and active within assigned industries, including attending trade shows and networking events.Skills & Competencies

The Digital Print Operator will operate the variable data digital printing equipment at its maximum production capability and at the highest quality level. Responsibilities include the operation of several high-speed, sheet fed, digital print equipment types ranging from full color to black and white, together with assembly/finishing processes, equipment including near and off-line cutting/binding/finishing equipment.
Accurately and efficiently run HP 7K Indigo, Canon Titian, Oce, and Konica High Volume Digital Color and black and white printers. HP Indigo certification preferredOperate assigned equipment with established quality standards at rate of speeds for each job. Ability to understand, follow and proficiently execute the sign-off and Continuity pull process. Accurate and timely electronic entry of job, inventory and time data into multiple data collection systems.Ability to understand job requirements and transfer that knowledge when working with helpers, temporary employees, and other operators. • Read and understand job tickets and customer instructions.
• Operate assigned equipment according to work orders and job tickets, with established quality standards at rate of speeds for each job with minimal supervision assigned by scheduled and/or Manager.
• Ability to understand, follow and proficiently execute the sign-off and Continuity pull process.
• Accurate and timely electronic entry of job, inventory and time data into multiple data collection systems
• Use the equipment’s computer as part of programming and setup of equipment
• Setup, operate, maintain and respect the equipment.
• Follow all established processes associated with the operation of the equipment.
• Perform all essential job related duties; including setting up stations, tray, and bagging requirements.
