About the Role
As a Mandarin Elementary After School Teacher at Stratford School, you will work as part of a team to develop a plan of instruction appropriate for the elementary students in our afterschool immersion program. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children.
You will also
Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum for the campus afterschool program
Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
Provide administrative support
Float between classrooms to provide teaching support
Monitor and assess student progress
Maintain an ordered and arranged classroom environment
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Two years of prior classroom experience in an elementary setting
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
Be authorized to work in the U.S.

About the Role
The Elementary Spanish Teacher works as part of our teaching team to develop lessons appropriate for grades Kindergarten - 5th with an emphasis on reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and speaking. Young students may work on counting, common words and basic grammar as older students progress into reading and writing more complex concepts.

Plan, supervise and implement the Spanish curriculum
Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
Maintain an accurate inventory of Spanish curriculum at your campus
Communicate regularly with parents, school leaders, and other staff as appropriate
