    Home Building Technician

    We are seeking a dependable and motivated Home Building Technician to join our team. This position plays a key role in the assembly and construction of modular homes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with lumber, basic power tools, and a solid understanding of how to accurately read and use a tape measure.

    Home Building Technician Summary:

    Be part of the action by helping assemble and construct custom modular homes. You’ll bring your skills in framing, roofing, siding, flooring, and finishing work to life.Use construction equipment and tools with skill and precision.Work closely with your team, following project plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.Keep the worksite safe and tidy, sticking to all safety regulations and company policies.

    Education and Experience:

    Accurate and efficient use of a tape measure. Ability to identify various lumber products. Hand/power tool experience. Experience in carpentry/construction—This includes at home DIY projects, related high-school classes, or previous jobs. Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, flying debris, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Employees will be required to wear and use appropriate personal protection equipment such as safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots, knee pads, dust masks, gloves etc.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to kneel, squat, stoop, twist, etc. The employee frequently works with arms extended and raised, frequently walks along rafters and climbs ladders. Occasionally the employee will lift and carry heavy loads. The employee walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and customer service.

    The Accounting Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, vendor management, and financial recordkeeping. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

    Essential Functions

    Perform Accounts Payable/Receivable transactions, including invoice entry, credit memos, payment processing, and account maintenance.Prepare and process vendor invoices and associate expense reports for payment. Process weekly payroll and prepare payroll-related reports.Reconcile accounting records and verify information for accuracy and completeness.Maintain organized accounting files and supporting documentation.Communicate professionally with vendors, employees, and internal departments regarding accounting-related matters.Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities as assigned.Assist with semi-annual inventory activities as assigned.Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with some flexibility with start and ends times).

    Required Education and Experience

    High school or GED equivalent.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative, bookkeeping, accounting support, or related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and work with a high degree of attention to detail.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field. Two (2) or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related financial operations. Experience with accounting and payroll software.Experience in manufacturing, construction, or a similar business environment.

    Residential Construction Service Technician

    Summary/Objective

    Stratford Homes has been the leader of highly customized modular homes since 1973 and is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Residential Construction Service Technician team. The Residential Construction Service Technician will complete all service requests projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules are followed, and that builders and customers are satisfied.

    As a Residential Construction Service Technician, you will also assist in all aspects of modular home building in a manufacturing environment in departments such as rough framing, roofing, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, siding, flooring, trimming and detail finishing.

    Job Tasks and Responsibilities

    Develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction; including listening effectively to customer’s concerns and resolving any conflicts with customers.Coordinate service work by contacting customers and making arrangements to access their home.Monitor the condition of the assigned service van and report any maintenance needs to the department manager.Compile on a weekly bases, a list of material taken for service purposes or to inventory service van and submit to the service manager.Document and log all work reported and performed. Grouping items in categories to explore and evaluate reoccurring or repetitive issues.Maintain high standards of craftsmanship in completion of each work task.Promote a safe work environment and adherence to safety rules and procedures.Assemble per home design and per appropriate building code requirementsAssemble in a neat professional mannerCapture and document before-and-after photos of work items for quality assurance and reporting purposes.Operate drills, saws, hand, power and air tools in a safe manner.

Must have knowledge and experience in all phases of home construction Organization skills and record keeping is imperative.Willing to travel to job sites to visually inspect reported items.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, working well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.Ability to effectively multi-task while analyzing and solving problems.Able to work in a team environmentStrong working knowledge of job safety as well as ability to complete safety orientation.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Typical workdays are Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If employees have not reached 40 hours by Thursday, they will be scheduled to work on Friday. Actual hours will vary depending on the type of service performed and the distance traveled. When not traveling for service work, employees will be expected to work in the production facility.

    Travel

    Travel is expected for this position. Employees will receive a meal allowance of up to $45 per day, with $10 for breakfast (if overnight or if the workday starts before 6:30 a.m.), $15 for lunch, and $20 for dinner (if staying overnight or working past 6:30 p.m.). Employees will also travel with a company credit card to cover gas and hotel expenses.
