    Job Description

    Position Summary

    The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading hourly production employees to safely produce high-quality products while meeting production schedules, cost objectives, and customer expectations. This role provides frontline leadership by driving employee engagement, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across assigned shifts.

    The Production Supervisor partners closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Shipping, Planning, Human Resources, and Safety to ensure efficient plant operations while maintaining compliance with all food safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

    PAY RANGE: $63,000 to $82,700

    Essential Responsibilities

    Safety Leadership

    Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA, company, and plant safety policies.Conduct daily safety observations, toolbox talks, and shift meetings.Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and continuous improvement.

    Production Management

    Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.Execute production schedules while maximizing equipment efficiency and minimizing downtime.Monitor production performance and adjust staffing or resources as necessary.Ensure production documentation is completed accurately and timely.Drive adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Identify and eliminate waste through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Employee Leadership

    Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees.Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and respect.Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when appropriate.Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.Ensure employees receive ongoing cross-training to improve operational flexibility.Promote employee engagement and recognize strong performance.

    Quality & Food Safety

    Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, SQF, GMP, sanitation, and quality standards.Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate product issues and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Ensure all products meet customer specifications before release.

    Shipping & Warehouse Coordination

    Coordinate closely with Warehouse and Shipping personnel to ensure finished goods are available for scheduled customer shipments.Understand inventory flow from production through warehousing and distribution.Monitor product availability to support on-time deliveries and customer service goals.Assist with production scheduling based on shipping priorities, inventory levels, and customer demand.Ensure finished products are properly identified, staged, and transferred according to warehouse procedures.Support FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices and inventory accuracy.Work collaboratively with Shipping to resolve loading issues, product shortages, and schedule changes while minimizing customer impact.Understand warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as M3), shipping documentation, bills of lading, and inventory transactions.

    Operational Excellence

    Monitor key performance indicators including:SafetyQualityProduction attainmentDowntimeYieldWasteLabor efficiencyOvertimeLead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.Participate in capital projects and equipment improvements.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Required

    Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience coaching and developing employees.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

    Preferred

    Food manufacturing experience.Experience in a union manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles.Experience with warehouse operations and shipping logistics.Experience utilizing ERP systems such as M3 or SAP.

    Work Schedule

    Production Supervisors may work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require. Flexibility is expected to support operational requirements, employee development, and customer commitments.

    Job Description

    The Accounts Receivable Representative will control and resolve customer invoice deductions. The Accounts Receivable Representative’s objectives are to minimize the open balance of unresolved deductions, maximize collections of invalid deductions, and identify trends and corrective actions to prevent recurring deductions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Manage customer information to ensure successful resolution of any customer deductions from payments upon request. Manage collection activity to minimize the aging of open receivables, including disputed deduction claims.

    2. Contact customers to determine the nature/details of the customer’s claim and to obtain deduction back-up.

    3. Research the customer’s claim to determine validity and proper handling:

    Utilize internal pricing, promotion, order, shipping documentation.Utilize carrier information.Work with other Stratas departments (marketing, pricing, sales, customer service, plants, logistics, etc.) and external brokers to clarify discrepancies between Stratas documents and customer claims.

    4. For validated deductions, determine and execute the appropriate method to clear the deduction from the customer’s account.

    5. For invalid deductions, contact the customer to secure repayment. Follow up on payment status and escalate to management for collection assistance, as needed.

    6. Identify deduction trends and research root causes to minimize future deductions. Provide information to Sales and Customer Service to assist with controlling the customer’s deduction practices.

    7. Maintain deduction database information in Blacksmith system.

    8. Utilize the INFOR M3 mainframe system to obtain A/R and shipment information as part of the deduction research process.

    9. Prepare reports as needed to track the status of deduction balances, to categorize deductions and to communicate progress to Stratas management.

    10. Function effectively within the Deduction Resolution Team, including providing coverage for absent co-workers, cross training on co-worker’s assigned accounts, and team process improvement activities.

    11. Actively support continual process improvement of our business processes through analyzing department workflow and recommending enhancements to management. Participate as assigned to special projects or project teams.

    12. Collaborate closely with onsite teams and participate in onsite meetings to drive departmental objectives

    13. Other projects as requested by management to support the Deduction Resolution function.

    Qualifications

    Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. College degree preferred.

    Experience: 1 - 3 years preferred deduction resolution or collections experience. Sales/customer service/logistics experience preferred.

    Equipment/Software Skills: Data Entry accuracy and speed. Strong PC skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook primarily). Must be able to quickly learn new system applications. Experience working with multiple system applications is preferred.

    Location: Must currently reside within reasonable driving distance to the corporate office located in Cordova, TN.

    Competencies

    · Strong analytical abilities to research and determine validity of customer claims.

    · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy to document and track deduction related data.

    Job Description

    This position is an entry level position on the manufacturing floor. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

    The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized forklift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Job Description

    This position supports both the waste water operations and truck loading/unloading.  Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

    Ensuring waste water is within control limits.Inform supervisor when waste water is not within the proper control limits.Make necessary adjustments to the process/chemicals if waste water is not in control limits.Taking inventory of chemicals in waste water and replace them when necessary.Draining water off of the scrap tanks.Unloading/Loading finished goods and scrap trucks.Ensuring cleanliness of waste water, loading/unloading bay, and general clean up.Filling out necessary paperwork for additive addition and placing additives into tanks.Complete the necessary documentation for truck loading/unloading and waste water. Perform job duties in all-weather conditions.Use specialized tools/equipment.Comfortable working at heights using all required PPE.Perform duties as backup for Operator 1 – Mix Operator.Understand and perform basic tasks as needed within the M3 inventory systemQualifications

    Job Description

    The Mixer III will be responsible for the manufacturing of bulk food products to be filled and packed as required by the daily production schedule. This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory and Stratas Foods’ procedures and policies.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    · Adhere to all GMP and Safety requirements

    · Read batch cards to determine product specifications, processing information, technical information.

    · Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as: ingredients and lot numbers, used temperatures, mixing speeds, and test results.

    · Monitor and regulate gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, and thermometers to correctly adjust the addition of raw materials, mixing temperatures, mixing speeds, etc. to maintain product quality, and ensure safe and efficient operation.

    · Operate and tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of food products such as edible oils, dressings, margarines, spreads, shortenings, cooking cherries, vinegars, cooking wines, etc.

    · Patrol work area to detect leaks, equipment malfunctions, and to monitor operating conditions. Report any deficiencies to Production Supervisor / Maintenance Supervisor.

    · Examine product samples during production to evaluate necessary in-process testing requirements.

    · Sample in-process products for the quality assurance laboratory for testing.

    · Test samples of products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment. Document results in required logbooks and/or batch records. Report any deviations of results to the Quality Assurance Manager.

    · Modify manufacturing directives with written authorization by the Quality Assurance Department by adjusting mixing cycles and/or addition of ingredients.

    · Responsible for having knowledge of transfer valves, pumps, etc. which transfers bulk products from manufacturing tanks to running tanks.

    · Clean and sanitize all the equipment necessary for the manufacture of food products.

    · Must be willing to help the company with any task needed.

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    The Plant Engineer will provide engineering support and project leadership for the plant. The expectation is that this role will spend approximately 60% of the time on project related activities and 40% of the time on plant support activities. At times either activity could exceed expectation. The Plant Engineer I role will include project implementation, production and equipment improvement initiatives and support the daily operations of the plant to ensure all safety and quality goals are achieved.

Under the guidance of experienced operators and supervisors, the incumbent performs basic machine adjustments, quality checks, sanitation activities, and routine equipment operation tasks while developing proficiency on assigned equipment. This role supports the production of high-quality products by adhering to safety, food safety, quality, and operational standards.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Safety and Compliance

    Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, food safety requirements, and quality standards.Wear required PPE and comply with all safety procedures.Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when performing equipment cleaning, maintenance support, or troubleshooting activities.Handle cleaning chemicals safely and according to established procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

    Equipment Operation

    Set up, start up, operate, monitor, and shut down production equipment according to established standards.Perform machine adjustments based on product specifications, packaging requirements, and operating conditions.Monitor machine performance and product flow throughout production runs.Detect and respond to machine malfunctions, equipment abnormalities, and product defects.Stop, reset, and restart equipment safely following established procedures.Clear jams and minor equipment issues while minimizing downtime.Perform product changeovers efficiently while maintaining quality and food safety standards.

    Quality Assurance

    Perform required quality checks, inspections, and product evaluations.Verify fill weights, package integrity, coding accuracy, and product appearance.Identify, communicate, and assist in resolving quality concerns.Complete all required quality documentation accurately and on time.Ensure products consistently meet customer and company specifications.

    Sanitation and Cleaning

    Perform equipment teardown, cleaning, sanitization, and reassembly activities.Clean pumps, sanitary piping, fillers, conveyors, and associated production equipment.Operate CIP systems as required.Verify equipment cleanliness and readiness prior to production startup.Report any sanitation or quality concerns immediately.

    Equipment Care and Maintenance

    Perform routine inspections of equipment and identify potential mechanical issues.Complete assigned autonomous maintenance activities and MSS tasks.Assist maintenance personnel with preventative maintenance and repair activities as needed.Communicate equipment performance concerns to supervisors and maintenance teams.Help reduce downtime through proactive equipment monitoring and troubleshooting.

    Production Documentation

    Accurately complete all production records, downtime reports, quality checks, sanitation records, and operational documentation.Record downtime events and root causes within company systems.Maintain accurate production and efficiency data.

    Continuous Improvement

    Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and equipment performance.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.Support departmental goals related to OEE, productivity, quality, and cost control.Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma or GED required.

    Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    Equipment/Software Skills: Ability to operate production equipment safely and effectively. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production schedules.

    Additional Information

    Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs and ladders (portable, fixed).  Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required.

    Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

    Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization
