    Position Summary:
    The Life Enrichment Director plans, organizes, coordinates, and facilitates life enrichment activities that are beneficial and complimentary to the social welfare and interests of the residents of a senior living community. The Life Enrichment Director will also lead, train, and be accountable for Life Enrichment support roles within the community.


    Required Experience for Life Enrichment Director:

    High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training preferred.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.Compassionate towards the senior population.Proficient in general computer skills.Must have prior experience leading a team.Organizational and time management skills.

    Primary Responsibilities for Life Enrichment Director:

    Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.Responsible for the overall direction, planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment Department.Implement and maintain the Life Enrichment Standards for all community service offerings.Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.Support in proper setup, clean up, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.Collaborate with other departments to create the best experience at the community.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.Lead, train, and hold accountability for the Life Enrichment support roles (LEL, LEA, Shuttle Drivers).Provide direction to Life Enrichment support roles regarding day-to-day activities and responsibilities.Responsible for completion of all administrative tasks (e.g., budget management) pertaining to Life Enrichment with the ability to delegate where appropriate to Life Enrichment support roles.Support functional responsibilities in absence of Executive Director as needed.

    Provide daily maintenance in resident apartments and throughout the community as assigned.Responsible for assessing, assigning, and follow up on daily work orders.Ensure completed work orders are filled properly and turned in to designated area.Analyze mechanical data regarding heat and water problems.Perform daily repairs to all common areas throughout the community.Assist the Director of Maintenance and/or perform work on pumps, motors, fans, emergency generators, heating, air conditioning, domestic water, refrigerator, electrical, and swimming pool systems.Provide preventative maintenance on all tools, equipment and supplies.Participate in maintaining inventory and tool control.Keep maintenance work area neat and clean.Report missing tools to the Maintenance Director promptly.Report structural damage, equipment in need of repair, and all other repair needs to the Maintenance Director.Report safety hazards to the Maintenance Director, Executive Director, or Manager on Duty immediately.Respond to all emergency or priority issues with fifteen seconds.
