    The Fleet Coordinator role is an hourly position which requires a focus to attention to detail and accountability.

    The Manager provides operational direction and leadership to all associates supporting the Stop & Shop supply chain requirements. In this capacity, they:

    1. Assist in maintaining full P&L responsibilities for the designated distribution center.

    7.Establishes and maintains a culture of open, honest communication, and one of shared concern for the well-being and genuine respect of all Distribution associates. Encourages opportunities for participation, collaboration, and teamwork at all levels within the Distribution organization.     8.Meets periodically with Merchandising, Procurement, Information Technology (I.T.), Accounting, and leaders within our Ahold Delhaize operating companies to keep in sync with sales plans, system upgrades, markedly higher volume forecasts, seasonal exceptions, and accurate financial reporting. Identifies and responds to merchandising plans which require distribution methods outside the normal scope of day-to-day business;

    9. Leads modeling and pilot efforts within the company to support Ahold Delhaize Supply Chain programs. Works directly with managers within the Ahold Delhaize Supply Chain team to execute new systems and/or best-practice operational changes in order to generate new learning and ideas for future implementations; and

    10. Interfaces well in both verbal and written form with all levels of the company.

    Repairs and performs maintenance tasks on battery powered pallet jacks, forklifts and narrow aisle high lifts. Repair building hardware and interiors. Install and repair rack systems. Will be required to learn basic and safe operations of facility systems i.e. sprinkler system, fire alarms, building automation and ammonia refrigeration system. Will be assigned tasks, which will require the ability to identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment in a safe and timely manner. Will be required to perform a wide range of activities ranging from but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and metal fabrication work.

    EDUCATION AND JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Should have a minimum or 5 yrs. experience as a maintenance mechanic. Should have a basic understanding of electrical circuits, hydraulic circuits, mechanical systems and engine repairs. Must have a working knowledge of safe maintenance repair practices. Must have a basic understanding of a Maintenance Department's organization and planning.

    FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    A physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting and carrying (50-100 lbs.). The ability to stand continuously is essential with occasional walking and sitting. The nature of this position will require employee to perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing and pulling heavy objects (50-100 lbs.) to crouching, kneeling, bending and handling. Repetitive finger motions are also required. Must be willing and able to work in hot and cold environments. Willing and able to work overtime as needed.
