    Responsibilities to the Children’s School at Stephens College (CSSC)

    Provide administrative support for the Children’s School, including responding to inquiries, arranging tours, managing enrollment process, maintaining student files, supporting CSSC teachers and director, collecting and managing data, and interactions supporting parents.Purchase and maintain all supplies for the Children’s School and college program.Prepare check requests and reconcile expense reports.Assist with maintaining budget records and report updates to the CSSC Director Plan and prepare materials for program meetings and events.Answer phone calls, prepare written and electronic correspondence with CSSC families and education students.Order and pick-up snacks and coordinate lunch for the Children’s School. Organize and maintain digital and physical workspace.Other tasks as assigned.

    Responsibilities to the Education Program

    Provide administrative support for the Director of Teacher Certification, including maintaining certification files, tracking students from date of entry into the Certification programs, assisting with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) reports and correspondence.Assist with maintaining budget records and report updates the Education program chair.Answer phone calls, prepare written and electronic correspondence with education students.Plan and prepare materials for program meetings and events.Coordinate program meetings with the dean’s calendar.     The Campus Safety & Security Manager serves as the operational leader of the Stephens College Campus Safety & Security team, responsible for the day-to-day oversight of personnel, patrol operations, training, and departmental compliance. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Campus Safety, Security & Emergency Management, this role bridges frontline security operations and executive-level leadership. The Manager ensures the consistent delivery of professional, effective, and community-centered safety services while supporting the Executive Director in advancing departmental strategy, policy development, and institutional safety goals. The Campus Safety & Security Manager exemplifies the department’s commitment to a safe, secure, and welcoming campus environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

    Schedule:

    The Campus Safety & Security Manager works five (5) eight-hour shifts per week. The Manager’s schedule is adjusted to meet the operational needs of the department and may include days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays. The Manager is expected to serve in a fill-in and float capacity as needed, covering vacancies, supporting staffing continuity, and responding to critical incidents or emergencies outside of their regularly assigned hours. Flexibility and availability are essential to this role.


    Duties/Responsibilities:

    I. Operational Oversight and Supervision:

    Oversees the daily operations of Campus Safety & Security, ensuring consistent patrol coverage, responsiveness, and professional conduct across all shifts.Directly supervises Campus Safety & Security Lead Officers, including scheduling, shift assignments, and performance monitoring.Serves as a working supervisor, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and performing all officer duties as needed to support operational requirements.Monitors shift activities, reviews daily logs and incident reports, and ensures timely and accurate documentation of all security-related events.Manages the 24/7 scheduling function, including call-out coverage, shift adjustments, and staffing continuity plans.

    II. Campus Patrol and Safety Monitoring:

    Conducts and directs routine and directed patrols of campus grounds to deter criminal activity and maintain a visible security presence.Oversees monitoring of campus conditions, building security, residence halls, AEDs, vehicle registration, fire extinguishers, and elevator safety systems.Ensures officers conduct consistent walk-throughs and building checks in accordance with departmental protocols.

    III. Training and Professional Development:

    Develops, coordinates, and delivers training programs for all Campus Safety & Security staff, including new employee onboarding and ongoing in-service training.Ensures all officers meet and maintain required certifications and competencies in areas including emergency response, first aid/CPR/AED, de-escalation, OC, baton, handcuffing, and defense tactics.Tracks training completion, maintains training records, and reports compliance status to the Executive Director.Identifies training needs through observation, incident review, and performance evaluations, and adjusts training programs accordingly.Promotes a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and adherence to best practices within the department.

    IV. Investigations, Enforcement, and Reporting:

    Reviews, approves, and ensures accuracy and completeness of all incident reports and documentation generated by officers.Conducts or oversees investigations of security incidents, policy violations, and abnormal campus activity.Supports Clery Act compliance reporting by ensuring accurate incident classification, timely entry, and appropriate referrals to law enforcement.Enforces and documents violations of campus parking rules, regulations, and college policies.

    V. Campus Services and Community Engagement:

    Ensures delivery of key campus services including safety escorts, access assistance, jump starts, and lost and found management.Supports victims of crime through appropriate documentation, referral to law enforcement, and connection to campus resources.Serves as a visible, approachable, and professional presence for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

    VI. Collaboration and External Relations:

    Maintains active working relationships with Columbia Police Department, Columbia Fire Department, and other external law enforcement and emergency response partners.Coordinates with institutional departments including Student Experience, Facilities, and Residence Life to support a collaborative approach to campus safety and security.Assists in the planning and execution of security operations for campus events, high-profile speakers, and emergency situations.

    VII. Executive Support and Departmental Leadership:

    Serves as the primary point of operational continuity, assuming responsibility for departmental functions in the absence of the Executive Director.Provides regular operational updates to the Executive Director, including staffing status, incident trends, training compliance, and departmental concerns.Assists the Executive Director in policy development, procedure review, and departmental planning initiatives.Participates in budget preparation and resource management as directed, including equipment, uniforms, and supplies.Supports emergency management planning and response efforts, serving in an assigned role within the College’s Crisis Leadership Team and Emergency Operations Plan.Contributes to accreditation, compliance, and audit processes as assigned, including Clery Act and IACLEA standards.Requirements:Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Public Safety, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of three (3) years of experience in security, law enforcement, campus safety, or a closely related fieldMinimum of one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience in a security or public safety environmentDemonstrated knowledge of security operations, incident response, and emergency management principlesStrong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment, maintain composure, and lead effectively in high-stress situationsProficiency with security technology including CCTV systems, two-way radios, access control systems, and incident reporting platformsAbility to maintain confidentiality Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a college vehicle.     Work Environment

    This position includes classroom teaching, online instruction, clinical instruction, laboratory and simulation teaching, student advising, committee service, scholarship activities, and participation in accreditation and assessment processes. Some travel to clinical agencies may be required. Occasional evening or weekend activities may be necessary to support program needs.

    Requirements:Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution. Current unencumbered Missouri RN license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure. Minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical nursing practice. Clinical expertise in Medical-Surgical Nursing and/or Critical Care Nursing strongly preferred. (Candidates with other acute care backgrounds will be considered.) Experience teaching, precepting, or supervising nursing students. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and healthcare partners. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Ability to meet all clinical site health, immunization, background check, and drug screening requirements.

    The Stephens College PA program is based on a 12-month didactic phase and a 15 month clinical phase that culminate in the conferral of a Master of Physician Assistant Studies.


    Principal faculty for the Stephens PA program will assist with the development, content delivery and assessment of didactic curriculum. The successful candidate will teach, evaluate, and advise didactic and clinical phase students. All principal faculty participate in the continuous review, analysis, and evaluation of the program’s mission. Other duties include scholarship, academic advising, service and professional activities. All principle faculty receive .20 release time to pursue clinical practice and/or research. This is a 12-month, regular, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. This is not a remote position.

    Responsibilities:

    Serve as course director or co-director as needed for program.Teach a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.Advise students.Contribute to collecting and managing data to track learning outcomes for students and performance outcomes for the program.Proctor exams and provide remediation as necessary.Member of the SPPC committee, Curriculum committee and Admissions Committee.Assist the program director with the continuous development, review, planning, outcomes evaluation, and general effectiveness of the PA programAssist the program director with continuous program review and evaluation, curriculum revision, evaluation of course syllabi and lesson plans for the didactic curriculum.Participate college committees, and state and national organizations.Attend open houses, special events and graduation ceremonies.Coordinate, review and revise academic policies and procedures as needed.Participate in accreditation activities.

This position is responsible for conducting routine and directed patrols of campus grounds, responding to security incidents and emergencies, and enforcing college policies and safety protocols in support of a thriving campus community. The Campus Safety & Security Officer upholds the safety and well-being of all members of the college community in alignment with institutional values and public safety best practices.


    Schedule:

    Safety & Security Officers’ work set, non-rotating schedules across our 24/7/365 operation. Currently, officers work 5 eight-hour shifts covering Days, Swing, and Overnight. Some schedule flexibility may be required based on the needs of the College. Shift differentials are provided for second shift ($0.50 per hour additional) and third shift ($1.00 per hour additional).

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    I. Campus Patrol and Safety Monitoring:

    The Director of Career Services leads a comprehensive portfolio spanning career advising, internships, and employer relations, working in close partnership with the Associate Vice President for Experiential Learning and Industry Partnerships to identify, secure, and promote internship and employment opportunities for Stephens’ students. Together with faculty, alumni, and external employers, the Director ensures that every student graduates with the skills, networks, and self-knowledge to translate a Stephens education into post-graduate success.

    Position Responsibilities:

    I. Strategic Leadership

    Report to the Vice President for Student Success and Engagement and partner closely with the Associate Vice President for Experiential Learning and Industry Partnerships on internships, employer relations, and industry engagement strategy.Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for career services aligned with the Stephens College mission, strategic plan, and the evolving needs of women and gender-expansive students entering the workforce.Establish measurable goals for student engagement, internship placement, first-destination outcomes, and employer partnerships; report regularly to senior leadership, faculty, and the Board of Trustees.Assess the effectiveness of programs, policies and procedures associated with the career services provided; interpret and generate an annual report to be included in the Student Success & Engagement overall annual report.Champion career readiness as a campus-wide priority, partnering with academic affairs, student life, admissions, and advancement to embed career development across the student experience.Manage the department budget, staff, technology platforms, and assessment activities to ensure responsible stewardship of resources.

    II. Career Advising and Student Development

    Lead a team that provides one-on-one and group advising on career exploration, resume and portfolio development, interview preparation, graduate school planning, and salary negotiation.Design programming that addresses the distinctive opportunities and challenges facing women and gender-expansive professionals, including confidence building, navigating workplace dynamics, and pursuing leadership roles.Develop career resources tailored to Stephens' signature programs (including performing arts, fashion, health sciences, and education) as well as to first-generation, transfer, online, and adult learners.Use career assessments, faculty input, labor market data and trends, and student feedback to continuously refine services and to assist students in developing career pathways that align with their major program of study.

    III. Internships and Experiential Learning

    The Associate Vice President for Experiential Learning and Industry Partnerships leads the strategic development of the internship pipeline, including the cultivation of host organizations and the structural design of experiential learning programs. The Director of Career Services owns the student-facing internship experience, from preparation through placement to reflection.

    Prepare students for internship applications through resume and portfolio development, interview coaching, application strategy, and professional readiness coaching.Promote internship opportunities to students, match students to appropriate placements, and provide ongoing advising throughout their experiential learning experiences.Manage the operational systems that support internships, including tracking student participation, monitoring placement quality, gathering student and employer feedback, and reporting on outcomes.Collaborate with faculty and the AVP on the integration of experiential learning into the curriculum, including for-credit internship courses, capstone experiences, and industry-based projects.Surface unmet student demand and emerging fields to the AVP to inform pipeline development; in coordination with Advancement and the AVP, identify funding opportunities (donor-supported stipends, grants, employer partnerships) to support students pursuing unpaid or under-resourced experiences

    IV. Employer Relations

    The Associate Vice President for Experiential Learning and Industry Partnerships leads industry-level strategy, including the cultivation of formal institutional partnerships, contracts, and large-scale employer agreements. The Director of Career Services owns the student-facing dimension of employer engagement, ensuring that students connect directly with recruiters and hiring managers and that opportunities translate into placements.

    Plan and execute student-facing employer engagement, including career fairs, on-campus and virtual interviews, industry panels, employer information sessions, and recruiting visits.Manage day-to-day employer touchpoints, including individual hiring manager relationships, job and internship postings, and recruiter logistics on campus.Activate institutional partnerships secured by the AVP, translating them into concrete student opportunities, on-campus presence, and recruiting pipelines.Provide regular feedback to the AVP on employer needs, student outcomes, and emerging gaps to inform broader industry partnership strategy.Partner with the Office of Alumni Engagement to activate the Stephens alumni network as mentors, employers, and recruiters of current students.Coordinate with the AVP to ensure Stephens students are well represented in priority markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, and beyond.

    V. Partnership and Collaboration

    Work closely with academic departments to understand program-specific career pathways and ensure career services complement curricular goals.Partner with Advancement and Alumni Engagement on initiatives that connect current students with alumni mentors, donors, and industry leaders.Collaborate with Admissions and Marketing to articulate career outcomes as a core part of the Stephens value proposition.Represent Stephens at professional associations (such as NACE), regional consortia, and within women's college networks.Requirements:Master's degree in higher education, counseling, student affairs, business, human resources, or a related field.Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in career services, talent development, employer relations, or a closely related field, with at least two years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated success building employer partnerships and securing internship or experiential learning opportunities for students.Strong understanding of current career development frameworks, labor market trends, and best practices in experiential learning.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with students, faculty, alumni, employers, and senior leaders.Commitment to the mission of women's education and the holistic development of students.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    HVAC Systems
