We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our ongoing contract with the Hillsborough County School Board.
This is a full-time, year-round opportunity offering long-term stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to work on meaningful public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity for career growth into a Team Lead rolePerform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC systemsService rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, air handlers, heat pumps, and air-cooled chillers, DOASTroubleshoot low-voltage and high-voltage electrical componentsRead and interpret wiring diagrams and schematicsCommunicate clearly with dispatch and facility managersMaintain safe and clean job sites, especially on school groundsDocument work thoroughly using a company-issued iPad and field service softwareFollow all company and school district safety procedures
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experienceEPA Universal CertificationValid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving recordMust pass a Level II background check (required for school facility access)Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and diagnostic skillsHouseCall Pro Software a Plus
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with school district or government facility contractsHands-on experience with air-cooled chillers; RTU'sManufacturer/OEM training or certifications
