Overview
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathes, mills, and 5‑axis machining centers to produce precision aerospace components. This role requires strong technical ability in CNC operation, Mastercam programming, blueprint interpretation, precision measurement, and troubleshooting. The machinist will ensure all parts meet strict quality and tolerance requirements while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Lathes, Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), Mills, and 5‑Axis machining centers.
Program and edit CNC programs using Mastercam
Load materials, configure machine parameters, and execute machining operations according to specifications.
Identify non‑conforming parts and perform corrective actions.
Analyze results from coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and apply proper tool wear offsets at the controller.
Fabricate custom tooling, fixtures, and chuck jaws as needed for specific jobs.
Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet aerospace quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and program errors.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized.
Collaborate effectively with supervisors and support other operators when needed.
Meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations.
Maintain excellent attendance and reliability.
Qualifications
Proficiency in CNC machine setup, operation, and adjustments.
Experience with
**Mastercam
** programming.
Strong understanding of G‑code and CNC program editing.
Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Knowledge of machining aerospace‑grade materials and sheet metal components.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills and ability to mentor junior operators.

Overview
Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and quality‑support functions for new part introduction, document control, customer communication, inspection activities, and specification management. Ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely flow of information between Quality, Engineering, and external customers.
Responsibilities
Conduct inspections on steel tools, components, and engineering materials to ensure adherence to specifications.
Ecav maintenance, PFAI, submittal reviewer, character accountability
Identify and document quality defects, recommending corrective actions.
SPS package support, approved process compliance, reviewer, inspection back up, work center audits, process audit
Maintain accurate inspection records and reports for audits and quality control tracking.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced product quality and efficiency.
Oversaw the administrative process for VSE (SPS) new part introductions, ensuring all required documentation was completed, organized, and submitted accurately.
Prepared and delivered VSE (SPS) packages to the customer in accordance with established quality and engineering requirements.
Document Control engineering drawings for inspection and documentation purposes. Maintained strict document control by verifying accuracy, updating revisions, and ensuring all controlled documents were properly stored and accessible to authorized personnel.
Created, updated, and maintained the Master Specification within the eCAV system. Ensured specifications were current, compliant, and aligned with customer and internal quality standards.
Drafted, formatted, and distributed customer correspondence on behalf of the Quality Assurance and Engineering Managers. Ensured communications were professional, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner.
Performed receiving inspection administrative tasks, including uploading and verifying material certifications and Certificates of Conformance (CofCs). Released approved materials into the crib following verification of compliance with purchase order and specification requirements.
Managed and maintained the organization’s specification library, ensuring all documents reflected the latest revisions. Coordinated updates and communicated changes to relevant departments.
Completed accurate and timely data entry for company software operations, supporting production, quality tracking, and documentation requirements.

A Tool Maker builds, repairs, and maintains precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and specialized equipment used in manufacturing operations. This role requires expert machining skills, strong blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work independently from engineering documentation to produce high-accuracy components that meet tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
· Blueprint Interpretation — Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine tooling requirements.
· Tool Fabrication — Machine, assemble, and finish tools using CNC machines, manual mills/lathes, grinders, and hand tools.
· Equipment Operation — Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components.
· Inspection & Conformance — Inspect finished tools using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs, and other measurement devices to ensure dimensional accuracy.
· Tool Repair & Maintenance — Diagnose wear or failure, perform repairs, and restore tooling to production-ready condition.
· Process Planning — Determine machining sequences, setups, and methods to efficiently produce tooling.

Qualifications
· Precision Machining — Strong CNC and manual machining capabilities.
· Mechanical Aptitude — Ability to understand mechanical relationships, tolerances, and fits.

· Metrology — Skilled in using precision measurement tools.
· Problem Solving — Ability to troubleshoot tooling issues and propose effective solutions.
· Attention to Detail — High accuracy and consistency in machining and assembly.
· Communication — Clear communication with engineers, machinists, and production teams.
· Tool & Die apprenticeship, Journeyman certification, or equivalent experience is a plus.
· 3–5 years of experience in a tool room or precision machining environment preferred.
