Must work safelyMust provide great customer serviceMust have good attendanceMust work as a teamWeld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionsOperate safety equipment and use safe work habits Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulersClamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for weldingAssemble metal structuresOperate grinding equipmentOperate welding equipmentPrepare vehicles for proper operation (both gas and diesel vehicles)Perform inspections and preventative maintenance (both gas and diesel vehicles) performance testing & replacing or repairing defective vehicle components. Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles (gas/diesel) equipmentWhen required, prepares and maintains records and reportsEnsure vehicles are safe and comply with the legal requirementsVerify that work meets or exceeds company quality standardsExpected to follow company policies as outlined in the company’s Employee HandbookMaintain an acceptable attendance record, including reporting to work on timePerform other duties as assigned by managementExperience Required:
Considerable knowledge:
Of the methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.Diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairsConcepts involved in internal combustion engines, electrical, electronic and hydraulic systemsHandling tools and equipment, implementing safety practices when repairing and maintaining fleet of vehiclesRepair and maintain gas and/or diesel vehicles including components such as brakes, pumps, hydraulic system differentials and transmissions.Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal regulations relating to proper certification and operation of vehicles.Must possess tools to be able to perform the essentials functionsMust meet company quality standards for all work performedMust be able to pass drug screenMust be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.Working knowledge of:
